I have, and always will, play with Golf Pride Pro Velvet. They are cheap, and with a little soap and water, they feel like brand new, even if they have some age on them. I'm not the person that likes to change grips, and they last forever.
Multi Compound Golf Prides are my second recommendation for performance. I have hit some on a couple different players irons and they feel great, but not for me.
Lamkin has some more stylish options similiar to the velvet in different colors, I just don't want to pay too much for a grip.
What are they coming out with in March?

If you like the standard tour velvet, keep them. They are solid, tried-and-true grips....

grips wear out, but unless you have an extreme preference over a certain grip, there are nothing wrong with the titleist grips
they are most likely GP tour velvet

Exactly how I feel about cords.

I really liked my Winn grips till I played with them in the rain. Then they exuded a substance that was slicker than a combination of KY jelly and owl shite.

They just have a different feel to them that I don't care for
They do not work well when they're wet in my experience
