Girls softball Allstars 8 under are a blast to watch

As a parent...i think i enjoy watching them more as a parent than playing all stars and i really enjoyed it as a kid.

Exactly!! Both my girls turned down all stars and I turned down coaching the team. I was looked at like an idiot and people came to my house to try and talk us into it. There is no need for 8 year old Allstars. Growing up it took away my summers and for basically nothing.

There is no need for 8u rec softball.
It’s garbage ball w garbage arse girls
8u all stars however is awesome cause you have an actual team of girls playing the game of softball out there. 9u is trash w the pitching.

My friend’s kid is playing 4u tball All Stars, he asked me for a sponsorship. He sent me clips of a game, most of these kids don’t even know what they’re doing yet...told him they were being taken for a ride. But hey, he gets to say his kid is an all star at 4

Most 7-8 girls softball leagues have all star teams where the fuk have you been??
And from experience this is where the girls get better is in All Stars when you play 5-6 tournaments and practice probably 3 times a week. Better coaching in All Star.

I really never understand peoples obsession with hating on parents that are on allstars/travel ball.. Some people enjoy and some dont. My daughter is on a 8 year old all star team and my whole family has a blast with it. We have tons of parent friends we hang out with and we enjoy sports also. If your problem is with the fundraising/ begging for money to fund their hobby I get it... thats shaddy and wrong. We have never done one fundraiser or asked anyone for money. Its no different than a non hunter going on hunting board and making jokes about people who hunt because they dont like it. Everyone likes different things.

Apparently there are not just All Star summer leagues for 7-8 yo softball players, but the coaches cheat too.

Recently in a public setting, I noticed a group of 3 girls that I estimated to be about 8 to 10 years that were wearing matching shirts that appeared to be softball garb. It included (what I supposed to be) the name of their team, ‘Louisiana Lightening’.
I chuckled.
