Congrats to French settlement getting the monkey off their back. Stella Allison hit a half court shot at halftime buzzer.

It was actually a 3/4 court shot. It was impressive.

After she made that 3/4 court shot going into the half I knew it was over. French Settlement had all the momentum after they started slow. They were shook up in the 1st quarter after a starter went down with a torn ACL just a few minutes in. French settlement did a great job of slowing down the WestLake Freshman that is very good. Stella Allison is a beast. She now has a state championship in Softball and basketball.

Meh. Basketball was bad enough with classes B and C but this select and non-select bullshite has to end in ALL sports.

What an ignorant statement

It's obvious you have no clue about how classification in girl's basketball probably matters the least out of all sports.

Simpson would roll plenty of 4A/5A teams.

Mikaylah Williams lost one game her senior year at Parkway to an in-state school... it was to Fairview.

found out today that that ref in the Bell city /pitkin game ran in to give the pitkin coach a timeout.

Good lord, what a bad call. four secs left, Six people go up for a rebound on FT, no one grabs the ball, Pitkin players hit it out and the furtherest ref runs in and gives pitkin a TO?

BC should have had the ball under their goal with a chance to win a title.

That kind of crap should never happen.

I mean if 8 of the best 10 players in the NOLA area every year go to John Curtis whatcha gonna do. Mount Carmel and Chapelle and Dominican need to step it up

The semifinals were the real finals.
Sometimes is just works out that way. I guess watching Edna Karr skull drag St. Aug in football was much more meaningful?
(I don't know are you complaining about girls basketball in general or the select/none select split? If its the split, fair game)

That's right.

Somebody was giving me grief on X about Class B and C teams ranked in the top 25. Simpson beat Huntington. I was there at LCA to watch.

Fairview routinely beats larger playoff level schools. They run and gun and shoot 50 threes a game. It completely negates most larger schools height advantages. I watched them play LCA in Jadas Senior year in a tournament and they had a 8th grader shoot like 12 threes. They come across half court run the ball handler off a screen, make a pass, shoot a three and then get back on defense.

Saw them against Ponchatoula.

AJ Williams was able to drive into the lane repeatedly and get high percentage shots. Fairview lost close games at LCA to Ponchatoula and Zachary.
