Who would you rather have long-term?This may have seemed like a ridiculous question 1 year ago but now Luka is putting up MVP stats and is four years younger than Giannis. So if you were starting a team who do you take?

Still ridiculous. Giannis

Still Giannis. 30-14-6 and a potential DPOY on 32.9 PER.
Luka's having a great year, but Giannis will always be a better defender and he's still growing on offense.

The only argument for Luka is 3pt shooting.
We saw what happened to Giannis and the Bucks in the playoffs last year.
But still Giannis

Giannis has actually started shooting and making some threes this year. He's making a .321 clip on about 4 a game.
He's obviously not great yet, but he's quietly been improving his shooting. If that ever comes together for him, watch out.

nope. bball iq not high enough. I'm learning very quickly you do not consider bball iq.

Last year I would have said that Giannis is too limited by his inability to shoot off the dribble, particularly 3s, but this year it appears hes progressed a good bit in that department.
Luka is just the most skilled 20 year old I've ever seen. His offensive skill set reminds me so much of Harden its eerie.
Giannis maybe wins you more games right now but Luka absolutely looks like the kind of star that can win a championship.

Giannis scores so easily. and he defends the rim. I would easily take Giannis over luc

Giannis or Luka?
I'd go Luka for 2 reasons
1. 4 years younger
2. Because he's 4 years younger, he's further from his peak than Giannis

I like how everyone in this thread is praising Luka’s game when he plays exactly like James Harden. And y’all all hate how James Harden plays. Or so you claim...

Didn't take long for the Giannis vs Luka thread to become a James Harden thread.
For the life of me, I just don't know why Rockets posters get a bad rep on here, I just can't figure it out.

p you should hone your video editing skills and release a luca defense lapse video on Reddit.

I’m super biased towards Luka, but even I think as of now you’d have to take Giannis. He’s a more proven commodity.

I mean, you're technically correct, he is more proven than Luka.
But I guess my point is I think we've seen enough to know that Luka is going to be a top 5 player for a looooong time. Barring injury, I'm not sure there's any way that doesn't happen.
