They’ve had pretty solid defenses (certainly by the modern game standards) while Kirby has been there.

It’s been offensive issues plus they seem to have that old Clemson knack of flubbing a game or two a year that they shouldn’t

According to one of the Georgia posters on the SEC Rant, Gilbert has lost 30 pounds.

If he was soft before I can't imagine this will help.

Georgia also landed the WV All American safety through the portal. Defense should be pretty nasty.

Yeah, the secondary was the biggest concern. Kirby's plugging in some experienced players thru the portal. I can’t wait for their showdown with Clemson.

I think he wants to be a wide receiver. Which allegedly relates to his desire for less blocking.

We'll see

doesn't his value drop tremendously by switching to WR and dropping 30 pounds? Unless he's also gotten a lot faster, I'm not sure switching to WR and dropping a bunch of weight is a great thing but who knows

Apparently he ran the same 40 time as Pickens out of HS. I don’t think his value drops by losing weight and switching to WR. We need a WR to replace Pickens and are satisfied at TE. His mentality and work ethic will determine his value.

What’s the record for most D-1 scholarships an athlete has accepted? Gilbert’s up to 3 and he’s only a sophomore?

I think the first question is whether he has the drive to reach his potential. So far the opposite seems more likely.

But if he acquired some discipline and maximized his talent he'd be incredible.

Love getting Kendrick, wish we would have let Gilbert go somewhere else.

He’s lost 30 pounds and will play X. They’ll both be on the field at the same time.

It was a real "bang bang" move to snag Kendrick. He'll be a real "weapon" in the secondary. It has a real "shot" and being one of the best secondary's in the SEC.

Kendrick got absolutely cooked by Ohio State WRs. He stinks.

David Hale at ESPN has some interesting stats on Kendrick. I think if he does play against Clemson the Tigers will probably throw his way all game. TWITTER LINK
