This year. There was a mid-cycle reclassification. That's why Buford is also now in 7A.
They also increased the multiplier from 1.5 to 3.0.

Cedartown got a gift on that spot but they’re making plays.
That was a really bad one. It kept them in the game.

Wow. What a finish. What an amazing goal line stand.

WOW! Cedartown was inside the 1 5X and Benedictine held to win 14-13.
Congrats to Benedictine on B2B titles and their 4th in 9 years.
Scores have been updated.

Those last calls were terrible. Never put the ball in the hands of their best player.

And of course it's raining like it always does this time of the year. Shame on Arthur Blank.

feel this thread would be a better fit on the ATL Sports board. Atlanta is basically Georgia
WTF is your deal? It's the 2nd post you made about GHSA FB on the MSB.
Why in the world do you have an issue with it? Why would anyone? There are multiple posts on here about LHSAA throughout the season and not just the playoffs.

also feel the majority of these teams are within a 60 mile radius of Atlanta metro
The majority of all GA HS are probably in the 60 mile radius. So what?

From all accounts they are moving back to MBS next year Thank God.
Blank came to his senses.

Yeah I woulda kicked it on 4th and Goal w/3 seconds left.

Is Langston usually pretty loaded with talent? For some reasons when I read that name it seems like I had heard that school a few times. I know nothing about GA HS FB. I remember like a few of the schools when we get players out of GA sometimes. Who are the powerhouses?

Tough call after your kicker missed the fg and it’s pouring rain. That was a Friday night lights stop goal line stop.

Maybe I’m confusing them with Grayson. I remember when Robert N. was in hs and they had a lot of talent on the team if I remember right.

Yes.
Their lines are mammoth and they have speed on the perimeter. Their LT is a Georgia commit.
They are one of my home schools. They have come such a long way

One of the school officials told me that the issue was a union contract requiring that if the Benz opened, all of the facilities must be staffed. For example, the GHSA was going to have to pay to staff the upper deck even though it wouldn't be used.
Blank and the Falcons Foundation will help with funding the playoffs next year so that it moves to the Benz.

Did not know this. Props to Blank, shame on whoever signed that contract.

This is good to hear about Blank. I had always thought that he was responsible for this but good to hear that it wasn't his fault.
The contract is supposedly being signed on Monday to move it back to MBS, where it should be.

Damn, brutal end to the half for Gainesville.

So just so I'm tracking this correctly...
Cedartown had the ball on the 2 or 3 yard line with :3 seconds left down by 1 and didn't kick it?

Ware County is South Georgia. I would also put Warner Robins in South Georgia unless you want to segment into three with a middle classification.
Ware Co is too far east for me to ever think about them. I think of WR as middle GA
