What spot do you get in the 500 for finishing 2nd in the duels?

I assume it goes
1st in quals/2nd in quals
1st in duel 1/1st in duel 2
2nd in duel 1/2nd in duel 2


Don't quote me on that. That's just how every other form of racing would work.

It doesn't matter too much where you start at Daytona anyway.

Meh...you don't really want to be in the back because of the wrecks that occur during restrictor plate races.

i usually only make my picks based on who qualifies front half of pack.. it's statiscally safer, but i think one of the superspeedways last year was won buy a driver who had to go to a back up and start at the rear.. someone might be able to help me out.. might've been harvick at the 500

There may have been two last year. I am 90% sure that Keslowski started at the back for his win at Talladega. I want to say that Kenseth had to go to the back for the 500 last year due to a wreck in happy hour or an engine change.

good call.. i'm 90% sure kenseth did it at the 500 last year.. if it wasn't daytona it was the following week at california
