Considering it is largely the same players, the best coach in the NBA, and they're still playing at a very high level, yes.

LeBron is shooting 52/211 (24.6%) outside the restricted area through 18 career NBA Finals games.

Same coach, same franchise cornerstone, so yeah, pretty much.

Some trends are random, and while are definitive about what will happen in the future it can tell you something about a player/team/coach.
Here's another fun fact for you, the Spurs have never trailed in an NBA final.
Also the Heat are usually pretty deadly after a loss. Again you can say it's random but while that doesn't mean they will win game 4, it tells you that they usually refocus after a loss.

Tim Duncan is the only player remaining from the 1999 championship team.

Regardless, statistics like this are absolutely meaningless. What happened in 1999 is great and everything, but it doesn't have shite to do with this series.

The Heat haven't lost back-to-back games since February, right? Following a loss in the playoffs, their average margin of victory is 21.6. I think that's infinitely more relevant to what happened in 1999 and 2003.

The Heat need other players to hit their shots. Lebron won't be aggressive unless Miami has a lead. It sounds crazy, but guys like Chalmers, Ray Allen, and Haslem will need to come out super aggressive because Lebron is close to checking out. If they get a lead, you'll see him play more aggressively but with this game being on the road, I can see it going south for Miami quickly like 2011.

And when the Spurs Big 3 are all playing, they haven't lost back to back games since December. So with the Spurs up 2-1, I'll be just fine with them trading wins for the next 4 games.

Predicting these games seems almost impossible. All I know is if the Heat play like shite in every phase of the game again and the Spurs offensive rebound and hit shots like they did last night, it's series over.

Some interesting stats on the game last night:
Spurs had 26 more shots from the field last night
Spurs shot 50% from 3 while attempting 32 of them
Neal and Green combined for 51 points while shooting 13/19 from downtown

And for the series:
Heat still don't have a 20+ point scorer in 3 games now

The Heat have 0% chance of winning if they run the offense thru Wade. I only got to watch the second half closely last night but it looked to me that Wade was getting most touches.

If the heat are gonna win this LeBron has to be the focal point and they need to put boshs arse in the post.........he's not a damn shooting guard.

That's a misleading statistic because of injuries and Pop resting players. They lost their last 3 of the regular season, one of which they rested everyone, one of which Parker and Duncan played (and the lost to the Kobe-less Lakers), and one of which all 3 played (and they lost to the Timberwolves, who were on a 16 game losing streak).

I'm not sure what is misleading. When they all play in consecutive games they don't lose back to back.

The only way the Heat win the series is if Lebron has a huge night that he can build on. He needs at least 25 pts along with 8 reb 8 ast type of night to get his confidence up. If the Heat squeak by with their role players playing a huge part rather than Lebron, they will still lose the series. Lebron needs to step up.

I tend to agree with this only because of the way Wade is playing. The Heat really need Wade to run the offense, but unless he wakes up and gives the team a spark, the Heat are through. LeBron needs Wade to complement him. Otherwise, he could have stayed in Cleveland.

no it isnt.
when the spurs play at "full strength" aka timmay, manu and the flying frenchie all playing together, they dont lose back to back - period.
its only "misleading" to you because it completely undermined your argument.

No. It's misleading. Is it true? Sure. But they didn't play a ton of games together as the big 3 in the second half. Parker was out a bit, Manu was out a bit. Pop rested guys. Their opportunities to lose back-to-backs was very limited.
