Look it was a fun game. I’ll give you that. These overtime rules are a disgrace and need to go though. This is a terrible way to determine the winner of a game. I’d rather nfl rules, ties and all, than this. I liked the old rules fine honestly. At least it resembles normal football. Going to footballs version of PK’s is awful.

Just a FWIW, Kirby and Key were on the staff at Bama for a couple of years together back in the early 10's. They are buddies.

I'm okay with OT, but not w/dueling 2-pt.attempts from the 3 from the 3rd OT on.
If anything, keep it like the 2nd OT. If you score, you have to go for two. And the ball starts on the 15.

Also, Mike Bobo was the QB for the first OT in SEC history against Auburn in 1997, and now the OC for the longest OT. Winning both.

Yea I’d be more okay with that than this. I liked just leaving it the way it was fully. Like others said earlier how often did we have OTs make it to the 3rd one anyway for it to be that big of a deal? Like 2/3 a year if that? In the 1500+ games played every year. This big of an overreaction to one game was so stupid.

Obviously I’m happy Georgia won… but there being a TO allowed in every OT is insane! I get it made more sense when the ball started at the 25. With the rules changing, you have to adjust that shite.
