Both Mercs have 1 new set of softs so if they can get to 40 laps they might be able to make it the rest of the race on softs.

The DRS isn't as strong as last year, but it is still powerful.

Nice to see the cars be able to stay within 2 seconds for so long. A few years ago that would have never happened.

The teams are only given a certain amount of tires for the entire weekend, I think Verstappen had used an extra set of soft tires during qualifying so he didn't have them available for the race.

the soft, medium, and hard and when they’re best to use. I understand they need different tires for wet tracks but the switching on this track had me confused.

Softs wouldn't have lasted long enough.

Looks like 20 laps is the most until they fall off.

In theory, softs should be .8 seconds faster than mediums which should be 1.0 seconds faster than the hard on this track. Whether that actually happens is generally a point of contention.
