His attitude this year seems different as well. Almost like he is enjoying the show that goes with it and he isn't all moody when he isn't the best.
If he is honest about still loving the challenge then he will find a ride for next year.
He apparently took a pay cut for this year in exchange for some Merc concessions. Maybe the money doesn't have to be crazy for him to continue racing. GR is a lot cheaper though.

The extension of parc fermé is going to suck for some teams.
Not sure what they will really gain out of Saturday practice if they can't make any adjustments for future improvements. Friday practice is going to be prepping for the sprint race.
a pretty harsh critique

The more I read, the more it just seems like a cash grab by essentially adding one more day of higher priced events. I might be more receptive to it if they were doing the reverse grid thing because I like chaos, but without it I don't see much point.

I don't know what to think yet. I'll enter with an open mind, but it does seem a bit gimmicky.
Look at the last attempt to "improve" qualifying. That was terrible.
The tire allotment needs to be explained better. If the teams only have two sets of race tires it will be horrible. Someone gets a puncture and their race is done.

I had 6 minutes to decide. Got great seats on Row 9, Section 6 or Turn 12, the Saturday concert and parking. I'm not at home but will post the link here if nobody can get in when I get home in about 30 minutes.

About where I was at a few years back.

Yes, we're going to be just a little bit higher and one section closer to the turn. Got lucky to get these at the price we paid: $289 each for the 3 day tickets. On the website they now have them at $427 each for rows 6-20 and I got ours on Row 9. I guess they saw how fast they were selling today, and made some adjustments

Higher would be the way to go. It is hard to see 13/14/15 from that low.

I've been to a concert out there, awesome facility

Ha, nah not criticizing, just speaking on the experience I had. They were far from bad seats. Lots of overtake opportunities there.

Have they announced the concert lineup? Trying to get a group to go and could be a selling point for the wives.

We ended up with row 34, 2 rows from the top of turn 12. This will be my first race, pretty excited.

12? Row 9 and up?
If I remember right there is a price jump at a certain row. I told myself I would bite the bullet and move to that next section up if I had to do it again. But only for Sunday.
GA for Friday/Saturday in order to save the difference in price for the higher section.
