No, they said from the start they were changing the compounds to have 2 different races on the same circuit. They were different compounds.
They changed the minimum tire pressure for the same compound.
To keep them from exploding.

Pirelli has five compounds in its range this year, named C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5, with C1 being the hardest and C5 being the softest. At the first Silverstone race, C1, C2 and C3 were on offer and named hard, medium and soft, but this weekend the C2 will become the hard, the C3 the medium and the C4 the soft.

ETA: they did change the pressures but on the new compound allocation.

C2 and C3 were common in both races. Tire pressures were changed.
C4 was only a quali tire
C4 was only a quali tire

I can't wait to hear Seb's interview
Albon: "The Merc's and Racing Points are very stiff...not sure if that is coincidence"

Dude is one of the best drivers ever, but he's a bitch.
He’s a huge bitch and a hypocrite... Add that to being a huge SJW and tree hugger who hates on big oil for global warming, but drives for one of the biggest petroleum companies in the world and it’s easy to see why people hate him.

Last weekend Mediums were this weeks hard with a tire pressure change. It necessitated a change in strategy. Red Bull qualified max on the hard and make it work (which they were better on tires last week, too). Mercedes was nice again mismanaged their tires. This week it cost them a win.

It doesn't help that he probably has an 8th grade education.
Like a lot of these guys they have been in a racing program and getting 'home schooling'

He seems educated, his POVs and attitude are just hypocritical and naive.

He seems like he reads up on something or gets the highlights. Then misses completely when he tries to give an insightful stance. Saying he was the only working class champion in F1 is just deaf to the history of F1.
Doesn't help that he is under a microscope and get more criticism than deserved when he messes up. Such as two years ago when he was skewered for thanking the fans of Brazil in Spanish.

Well that was a surprising race.
Red bull just faster today.
Hamilton complaining about tire pressure

I would say calculated.
He’s playing a persona.

He definitely asked Max about them after the race when they were done.

Dunno what that persona gets him... don’t know anyone that likes him.

Hamilton thinks it makes him more appealing.
Vegan, environmentalist, humble (although that’s a thin facade).
Compare that to Kimi, who doesn’t give damn what people think, and is a million times more likeable.
Hell, Verstappen is a cutthroat competitor and does nothing to hide it, and I can’t help but like that honesty.
He’s not hiding anything. He’s not pretending to be anything.

That’s Christian Horner for you.

Agree... I think Max is an arse, but he is much more like able than Ham
Hell, Ham has the black power fist as his IG Photo... I stopped following him after his defense of Greta Thunberg and him getting roasted for hating petroleum but driving for Peteonas

I feel bad for Leclerc. The dude is literally dragging an injured horse on the track.

But he's getting it done. He's earning a lot of love from the Ferrari supporters and hopefully it will pay dividends for him when they get back to form. I think he has potential to be a Ferrari legend.
