Incognito was a POS. He deserves no sympathy. But Martin was a mentally unwell guy that was not cut out to be an NFL offensive lineman.
Usually it takes two for a story to seem totally exceptional and in this case you sat one of the most extreme guys in the league next to one of the guys least equipped to handle it.
JM walking back the “bully” framing doesn’t change that RI was pretty terrible

On February 23, 2018, Martin was taken into police custody following a post to his Instagram account with an image of a shotgun and a caption that read: "When you're a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge."[46] Following the post, which also mentioned his former high school, Harvard-Westlake School, the school shut down for the day.[47] Martin voluntarily checked himself into a mental hospital soon after posting the picture, where he was later questioned by LAPD detectives.[48]
From his wiki page.

The frick he doesn't. How much money did Martin cost him? I would assume that number is in 8 figures.
Martin is the piece of shite here. Don't make excuses for him. If the fricker was smart enough to graduate from Stanford, then he knew EXACTLY what he was doing here.

Martin ruined Incognito's career over some baseless bullshite
Incognito played for like 8 more seasons after this.

He had to take a 1/$1M free agent deal as a result of this when he likely would have gotten a significantly higher number without this hanging over his head. He also had to wait until 2015 to take this deal even though the "bullying" happened in 2013. Incognito was not signed for the 2014 season as a direct result.

I completely understand your claim but again Incognito played for like 8 more seasons while Martin flamed out the next year or even year after.

Yea- incognito played a long career despite several more incidence in addition to the ones before this
He was decently compensated even if you was this from his resume and only look at the other teams he was kicked off of, his involuntary psych hold unrelated to this, the sexual allegations, etc…
Most of the time you’d be right. RI did a bit of this to himself even if you ignore the not great stuff with JM

He does deserve some sympathy. He was drummed off the team and publicly scorned. Loss of money and reputation, defamation, he should sue for boatloads of cash.

Is he going to sue? I hope that he does

Why the hell did anyone ever care about a grown arse man (big man at that) getting “bullied” by another big man. And they are both millionaires at that.
