Just breaking so I have no link.
Cardinals announcer just announced it during the game. Jim Edmonds was also in the booth and now has quit talking.
Pretty crappy way to announce it without giving Edmonds a heads up.

2009. Was on the 06 championship team.

Had battled brain cancer for years, he was just 38.

They are both going long stretches without talking. They're both very affected, and I feel bad for them that their instant reactions are a part of the broadcast.

He was a local radio analyst in STL for a number of years. The guy was a butcher defensively, but the Cards don’t win in 2006 without his bat.

The guy was limited for sure. He approached a strikeout per game for his career, but he could hit the ball a mile. A modern day Dave Kingman. Sad story.

I always thought he would be amazing as a DH in a place like Boston.
