Yes.
quote:
In January 2014, Superintendent Ron Price turned over documents to the Tarrant County District Attorney's office alleging that hundreds of laptops had been stolen from Prime Prep. He later gave the information to the FBI. The school was closed January 30, 2015, due to financial insolvency.[5]
quote:
Journalist Phil Mushnick said of Prime Prep Academy: “After 2½ years, the school closed amidst an avalanche of unpaid administrators, faculty contractors, dilapidated buildings, allegedly misspent public funding and broken promises to black parents and hundreds of their children, mostly with an eye on college athletic scholarships.”[6]
quote:
The school was accused of racism and influence peddling.[11][12] In December 2013, Sanders pressured cofounder D.L. Wallace, a local minister, out of the leadership of the schools[13] over accusations of fraud[14][15] and assault.[16][17][18] Shortly afterwards Sanders was fired from his head coach position,[1][19] sparking an attempt by the school board to oust the superintendent who had fired Sanders.[20] The school then received further negative press for violations of the state's board meeting laws,[21] theft,[22] eviction,[23][24] and staff members failing to follow established policies.[15] The school was featured in local news coverage again in 2014 for failing to hold open meetings[25] and ranked as the lowest performing elementary school in North Texas as judged by Children at Risk.[26]
quote:
In July 2014, it was announced that the Texas Education Agency was going to revoke the school's charter for inconsistencies with the National School Lunch Program and fiscal mismanagement to which the school responded that they were going to appeal the decision. In October 2014, the school stopped forwarding paycheck withholdings to the IRS, which had been averaging $25,000 to $28,000 per month. The IRS would later file a tax lien of $56,625.[27]

He didn’t have his mic down on his headset for almost 3 full quarters. Lol. He isn’t coaching shite.
Sorry. That was racist. Not exactly sure how but according to Deionsexuals it is. Don’t ban me.

He founded the school with the goal of giving every child a free laptop using some federal program.
Then they all were stolen
Then they all were stolen

Was Cam Newton seen in the area?

Prime says good things, good messages...but he's a marketer
The media asked him "who do you think is the best CFB coach?"
He says..."bring me a mirror"
Cowboy hat, sunglasses at night, gives gold chain to his son during the game, all the BS about a rivalry hes never participated in is "personal"...
Black rappers rolling into Bolder...everyone sucking up to "prime"... we all know how this ends...
Coaching is up and down with wins and loses...after they lose the next 2 badly...the shine is going away fast

Could it happen? Sure, buuuutttt....Oregon looks beatable and Dan Lanning already ran his mouth this week.
LMAO if you guys are putting your faith in USC. Lincoln Riley is an overrated coach and Colorado can easily win in a shoot out.

Sanders is the personification of the altered landscape of college football. His shtick is dependent on the NIL / no-sit transfer rules that define the modern game, and to root for him is to betray tradition and what the sport used to be.
I have no idea if he will be successful long term, and I can concede his act can grow tiresome. But college football seems more entertaining this year because he’s around.

Everyone in this thread that seems to have a problem with Deion and claiming that he cares more about himself than the program need to go to YouTube and watch his sons channel about how they run things. I think a lot of you would be surprised.
I understand that there always people that hate him for the way he handles his program but the man is a marketing MASTER. And it’s not the norm for a lot of you and it rubs you the wrong way. But the ultimate goal for coaches is to sell their program, is it not? He’s doing an incredible job in doing that right now all the while winning at the same time.
He flipped the script and it’s put as many eyes on Colorado than ever and alot of you don’t like it. A salesman is a salesman is a salesman. You have to succeed one way or another and Deion has found a way to maximize the exposure to the program.

Maybe Carrol. He’s at least fun
Can you tell me the difference between what Carroll was doing at USC vs what Prime is doing now? There’s not a ton of difference, IMO.

Some people hate successful people just for being successful.
Honest question:
Do you really believe that the primary reason people are sick of hearing about Deion is because of one or both of these reasons….1) He’s successful…2) He’s black?
Is there ANY possibility there could be other reasons why people are sick of hearing about Deion?

Prime has more skins on the wall than all of those guys combined.
Gotta be a troll. If you’re serious, push away from the keyboard.
GOAT NFL coach and GOAT college coach (both arguable) and two other Super Bowl winners.
To be fair, none of those four men can back pedal for shite. Deion has them there.

As a player in football and baseball I liked him because he was darn good. As a coach at first I rooted for him, christian man who motivated his players very well. But not long ago he brought out the "as a black coach" crap and that turns me off so much. So dang tired of race and all of its machinations. With that said, I still like the other stuff he does but am having a very hard time rooting for him because of the racial under/overtones. So, I've put Prime in the 'who gives a crap' pile and will let it go at that.

I remember when they said this about ‘Cassius Clay.’ He became the most beloved athlete on the planet. Overwhelmingly.

What he's doing is not sustainable and the luster will eventually wear thin, BUT, right now it's all Fun and ENTERTAINMENT. If anyone with a pulse knows anything about Deion is he brought ENTERTAINMENT when he played college and Pro football. And nothing has changed that as a Coach.

Because he gave himself a fricking nickname.
Posted on 9/18/23 at 7:05 am to TomballTiger
Here’s another. He claims to be the GOAT CB yet refused to tackle anyone his entire career. A player who is was obviously scared of getting hit isn’t the GOAT except of shite talking
