Anyone willing to bet that bank account statements will be made available to investigators showing the check written to Jameis. A large autograph company like this isn't going to pay cash--they will pay this idiot via check.

The NCAA shouldn't scare any autograph signers. The only thing they should worry about is if the IRS ever decides they are bored enough to investigate. They'll want their share eventually.

college players should just stop signing autographs all together. it would cause a shite storm if the top players stopped.

And that's really all it boils down to.

Even though, I have to say at some point as a coach you have to wonder is it worth all the BS.

. They aren't paying via check. It's either cash or an offshore bank account. They know it's illegal for him to get paid for his autograph. They aren't cutting him a check.

this guy is so stupid or arrogant, that he probably did accept a check.

Why the frick is Winston allowed to play and Gurley isn't? They are both in the "investigative" process. Is it the coach's decisiin and Jumbo just is really that spineless?

Probably because Gurley admitted it and JW denied it.

I agree that JW would be that stupid, but the company wouldn't make that mistake and put themselves at risk.

This is the same school that let Peter Warrick play in a bowl game after being charged with grand larceny.

Extremely bad publicity. How would it look for them as a legitimate business if they were paying college athletes when they know it is against NCAA rules?
