Let's see if the stewards call that a "racing incident" for Lewis. Feel bad for Albon

I'm not holding my breath that a penalty will actually be given. I just really wanted to see the Max-Albon-Gasly podium.

Man, the safety car really screwed this race up.

I blame Bottas for not being able to pass Leclerc, which caused his overheating.

Edit: oh now they're saying oil consumption caused the overheating.

I wonder if Vettel has made his way back to the pits yet.

Reminds me of Kimi walking off the circuit at Monaco onto a yacht and started drinking.

Everyone will blame Vettel for the contact but it looked like elbows out racing to me. Very similar to what Charles did to Lando on the first lap. Just hard racing to me.

Hamilton is probably going to get a penalty.

Lando is the best

I really hope he gets a chance to compete for wins/championships one day.

he and Ricciardo are my favorite personalities on the grid.

ETA: lol at Vettel causing the contact and blaming Leclarc.

That's his first podium in F1. It's too bad the stewards didn't act faster so he could enjoy the festivities.

They're also saying that Sainz is under investigation for his use of DRS during the double yellow.

Possible that other drivers are also being investigated.

I'm pleasantly surprised. The way Sainz has driven this year, he deserved a champagne shower on the podium.

So if Sainz is penalized, would that put Hamilton back on the podium or Kimi?

What would the penalty be for the DRS usage? No way they take the podium from Sainz now, right? F1's official Twitter account already acknowledged that he was 3rd.

That would suck if they come back and go, oops sorry.

I think Hamilton's penalty moved him down to 7th. So Kimi would get the final spot on the podium.

I can't remember anyone ever being penalized for improper DRS usage.

I'm also not even sure how you misuse the DRS system in this case. As soon as you lift off the throttle below like 95% the DRS automatically closes. Seems like you'd have to basically ignore the double yellow to keep the flap open.
