Agreed, Adrian Peterson will be the last rb to even have a shot at it. And with 3000 yards to go with his prime far behind him, I doubt he even gets there.

Parker had 3 years in a row where he rushed for over 1,200yards. Then he started getting hurt iirc.

Jim Brown retired early at the top of his game. He could hav probably played another 4 to 5 years at a high level averaging over 100 yards in a 14 game schedule so he would have likely finished with 18,000 to 20,000 yards if he could have avoided serious injuries.

Only 2 former Tigers on the list Jim Taylor and Steve Van Buren. Marshall Faulk, Brandon Jacobs and Matt Forte are other Louisiana natives.

Surprised Charles Alexander and Kevin Faulk didn't make the list.

Joe Delaney would have made the KC list if not for his tragic death while rescuing young kids.

I don't remember Pete Johnson getting the ball that much. I remember him being a goaline guy.

Stevan Ridley - 2914 yards 22 TDs
Jeremy Hill - 2873 yards 29 TDs
Charles Alexander - 2645 yards 13 TDs
Billy Cannon - 2455 yards 17 TDs
Dub Jones - 2210 yards 21 TDs
Alfred Blue - 1689 yards 5 TDs
Zollie Toth - 1589 yards 14 TDs
Garry James - 1510 yards 12 TDs

Faulk actually had more receiving yards than rushing yards.

Emmitt Smith >>>>> Barry Sanders as a blocker, receiver, and 3rd down back! There is more to being a great RB than just making highlight runs after losing yards the 2 plays before.

I think Warrick Dunn is an error. I don't think he rushed for $5k plus with Atlanta, I'm pretty sure he did it with Tampa.

Emmit smith is the basic running back behind a an all-star line.

Barry Sanders always had one of the worst offensive lines yet still ending up looking like the Michael Jordan of running backs.
Barry sanders was a human highlight reel.

Emmit smith just followed his blocks. Boring runs any RB could do.
