It was just holding. Doesn't need to be a catchable ball. Of course Crabtree pushed back, when a guy has his arms outside you and blocks you off where else are your arms gonna go? It wasn't like Crabtree shoved him hard.

He probably would have caught it but not gotten feet down in bounds

looks like the play they were running before the timeout/ almost delay of game was gonna be an option or just a straight sweep with Kaepernick. looks like that's where they really blew it.

yeah gore had that block and i think he would have made it

i think the "rollout right" play was the old AU lutzenkerken play that the ravens sniffed out, too

The only reason that wasn't called was because the ref didn't have the sack to throw a flag in the situation. Any other game it's a flag and no one blinks.

Kind of reminds me of certain LSU fans who bitch to this day about PP7 and the '09 interception that never was.

Get the frick out with your Busch league trolling

SF doesn't even make the SB without a blown PI against ATL

Chew on that

The last two drives Kapernick forgot he had other receivers besides Crabtree.

he also forgot that you don't have to throw a fade every time the other team blitz in the redzone. He looked like a scared pansy when they blitzed.

ETA: Vernon Davis also forgot how to catch the ball.

One thing lost in this debacle is the fact that San Fran had a timeout left before the fourth down play.

Why in the world did they not use it, design a better play, insure every block read was addressed, and calm down their young QB for their game winning last chance play? Saving the timeout to stop the clock when Baltimore got the ball back was idiotic, IMO.

the biggest mistake was the timeout before the delay of game and it changing the playcall. They were running a designed run with Kapaernick, which was a good call. Timeout after they show what play they were running and then the threw it 3 times.

Should've ran the ball, or a throw back to the other side of the field on the roll out.

Yea, I'd need to see a replay, but I thought at the time it was probable he could have caught it with just one extra step. The ball is only about a step from his hands, and that step could have been lost due to the hold. However, I don't remember how close or far from the out of bounds line the ball was though.
