Here is what Jason Sobel is reporting:

"This just in: It's still raining. Harder than at any point today. I'd be very surprised if there's any golf being played here for the rest of the day.

Here is the worst-case scenario: If play continues until the end of day on Monday, the team leading all concluded matches at 6:43 p.m. (sundown) will be champion, as all incomplete matches will be considered halved.

I've also heard talk that one of the sessions may be eliminated, but there is some dissention between the U.S. and Europe as to which session that would be. Certainly four-balls makes more sense, since it takes so much longer to play, but I think this would only be a last-resort type of option.

Wish I had more conclusive info for you, but that's what we know right now."

A Ryder Cup decided without the singles matches would be ridiculous, so if they have to eliminate another session to get the singles in, I'd be for it.

FWIW, this whole event is turning into a big joke on both sides. From the US buying rain suits that were made of cotton (according to PGA Tour radio this morning) and golf bags that can't stay dry to the Euros for scheduling this event at this location at this time of year (Tirico said on ESPN that most people could have predicted this forcast for Wales when the event was announced some 10 years ago). Of course, that could have been a strategy for Europe, but I doubt it. This just sucks because the Ryder Cup is golf's biggest stage, and to have it come down to this BS just fricking sucks! /rant.

It's not just this time of year. Wales, like England, is always getting rainfall.

Well, no exactly Hendo, this is pretty much \"rainy season\" over there.....this Ryder Cup was originally scheduled for early September where the weather is slightly better....but since the FedEx Cup came around now they had to move it back about a month and the weather conditions are certainly different.

That being said, I think it is obvious the European Team picked this venue to play to their team\'s strengths and so far it seems to be working. Looking at teams like McIlroy/McDowell - how are you going to beat these guys in those conditions?

I am sorry, but I am still having trouble getting over that even their bags werent waterproof. I mean, seriously who in the freaking hell thought to equip the team with permeable golf BAGS? Even my golf bag is waterproof...come on.

Anybody else notice on that Citi commercial where they talk about the different industries they watch on the weekends, when they get to the kid hitting a sand shot and talk about 'futures markets' he hits the shot, they show it rolling towards the hole, then if you watch really closely it lips out, but they add the sound like it fell in the cup? Damn that's a long sentence.
