Also, in the one-game wildcard matchup how will home field advantage be determined? Head-to-head results or overall record?

Oh I'm well known out here.
CJ does well during the regular season (and now being 4th starter instead of ace may help him even more) but his postseason stats

Wow, not one person on SI picked the Braves to even make the postseason.
And Mel Antonen.. Marlins/Cards/Dbacks/Dodgers/Nats? LOfrickingL

The Angels picks are funny to me. Their offense will be very subpar. What happens if Wilson busts or one of Haren/Weaver gets hurt? They would be screwed.
The Rangers hit better, have a deeper pitching staff, run the bases better and have a decent rotation. The Angels have a better rotation and manager, that's about it.

Better than last year when iirc, 31 of 39 picked the red sox to be in the world series.

I don't think I like the "experts" unanimously picking the Tigers to win the Central. I know it's a down division but I hate high expectations.

Should be able to hit themselves out of that division.
ChiSox are terrible. Minnesota is terrible. KC is up and coming but won't get there this year. Cleveland doesn't have enough fire power.

Tampa Bay has outstanding young pitching. Don't know if they'll be able to score runs with the Yankees and Red Sox, though. Detroit looks to be a strong team all year.
In the NL, I don't think the Brewers will be good enough to repeat. I give that division to the Reds if they can stay healthy. The NL East is hard to figure. I'm guessing the Mets finish last, the Marlins and Nats will compete, but they won't beat Philly. The West is irrelevant. San Francisco? Doesn't matter.

I'm so freaking excited.
If only Peej lived near Hammond Louisiana, then I'd be able to pick on him as the Red Sox pound Verlander tomorrow.
Wishful thinking probably

Hopefully this year Carl starts acting like Crawford, not Pavano.

Same story as last year.. and they won a wild card spot. I could see the Rays taking the division to be honest.

Please!! SF will win at least 20 more games that YOUR Cubbies. Bank on it.

The Sox rotation is underrated this year. We do have three big Ifs though, can Buchholz stay healthy, can Beckett break this even-odd year bullshite, and can Doubront hold up the entire year.
Andrew Bailey going down hurt us.

I think the AL comes down to Rangers/Rays and NL will be Phillies/Braves.
My heart is pulling for Atlanta and for Chipper to get one more ring to ride out in style, but my head is telling me third time is a charm for Texas.

Listen up Geovany Broto, the NL West isn't the AL East by any stretch of the imagination.. but you've seen the past few years what great pitching does.. and that's beat AL offenses.
Giants will win the NL West with a 91-win season and sweep the Reds in the NLDS. Book that.

That's why this is fun IMO.
You jinxed the Pirates last year, that's all on you.
