BSU wasn't in the same area code as that Oklahoma team.
that OU team was pretty overrated. AD was coming off an injury and they had a WR playing QB

This leads me to believe that a lot of them will suck. I hope they dont but its espn and they are going to milk the shite out of this.
The reason I don't think this will happen is that it's still independent filmmakers directing the films (i.e. trying to make a name for themselves and/or make the best quality film possible), ESPN is just the distributor and providing some funding. But ESPN itself isn't making them.

They already did one solely on Miami football, and while this is a different situation, that alone would prevent one. Plus, we don't even know the full details yet. There's still an NCAA investigation and people wouldn't talk with a documentary because of that. It'd be at least five years from now (i.e. after the NCAA investigation/ruling/consequences) before that one is any good at all.

if you ever watch American Greed on MSNBC, they did a show on Shapiro and talked about a lot of the things Charles Robinson wrote about in his Yahoo article

Yeah, if ESPN was producing them, imagine the titles:
1. How "The Decision" Revolutionized Sports Journalism
2. Jeremy Lin. Best point guard. EVER
3. Manning, Brady, Tebow: The NFL's greatest quarterbacks
4. Tiger Woods: The only player on the PGA tour
5. Danica Patrick's decade of auto racing dominance

6. The New Orleans Saints-How Many People Did They Murder?

He's told me his plans, but it's private. That's all I can say. Sorry. But you can probably guess what that means. I still think it's slightly up in the air, but there's definitely a way it's leaning.

as much as he complains about south bend, its probably best he just go back to ohio anyways. frees up a scholarship he'd never use as well...

They could use "Fourth and New Orleans" as a template.
It's a crying shame those players never experienced a signature win.

He'd stay at ND on scholarship, but not one of the 85. He'd probably do some interning within the program/help at practice, stay on scholarship, get his degree, but not have to practice/play and free up an extra scholarship, which is what he says he wants (and probably Kelly wants, too, to be honest). He definitely hates South Bend, but no one at ND really likes South Bend, but we love ND. You don't go to ND because of where it's located, but for its academics, athletics, community, faith, all that type of stuff. I just think he hates football, more than anything. I think he'd like ND a lot more without having to worry about all that stuff. It'd free up his time, relieve stress, allow him to focus more on school, do some more stuff on campus/in the dorm, etc. Still not as much as he'd like OSU, OU, and Cincy but enough where it'd be worth it to stay for the degree. But I still don't know what will happen, we'll see. Nothing's set in stone. He may still play.

I agree. Plus, there are infinite compelling sports stories to make documentaries about.

LSU 2005 would be a good one. The team that carried a state.

they don't all blow it on this shite. most of the mega fortunes are lost in bad investments
yea i didnt say all of them do that. obviously they make poor investments also.
i bet a good bit of them are losing all their money because of dumb crap. mansions that cost 2-3 million, cars that cost $200k, nights out at the club that cost $10k. all that stuff adds up. im not talking about the "mega fortunes" where someone has made 100+ million. im talking about the guy that plays a couple of years and makes maybe 10-20 million.

I think they could make a good 30 for 30 documentary on the infamous "Fifth Down" play in the 1990 Colorado-Missouri game.
