A la Carte has always been inevitable.
If you don't want live sports, don't buy it (i.e. cable has been charging for it for 40 years).
cutting the cord is not paying for it at all
the ones still paying for hulu or firesticks and whatever are still paying for service and havent cut the cord, they just want virtue points for not using cable service, that is no different then having dish networks

We're going to remember this as the end of the golden age of broadcast sports when you could easily flip from one game or sporting event to another without having to exit out of one app and open another.

You evidently are unaware of the trend and where things are trending.
Youtubetv and Hulu are smaller packages than cable/direct TV and thus less expensive.
When espn becomes a competitor, youtubetv/Hulu are going to have to strategize their plan.
Do they alacarte espn at a discount?
Or just remove it for a lower cost product knowing those who want espns will get the separate app.
The trend is smaller and smaller packages with more alacarte options.
If you can't see the trend... if you can't see the future, I can't help you. Keep being you

1) that sounds like a George Jetson problem. It is funny when people complain about pushing buttons. Humans have come a long way in evolution.
2) I'm sure an app is coming to solve that problem. Bill gates will create a windows for apps.

This is the biggest thing for me with streaming. It eliminates casually stumbling on a good game and flipping between games during commercials.

and you evidently are unaware of completely free TV that you dont have to pay anything at all to watch
if they dont put sports on then i dont watch sports, its not gonna ruin my day and its not gonna make me pay to watch it

I'd probably drop YouTube TV for a standalone ESPN package. $30/month ESPN and $2/month Hulu (Black Friday deals every year) would cover anything that I have YouTube TV for at half the cost.
