Were the murders also due to a drug debt?

Watching part three. Really like the behind the scenes stuff with the jury selection and the difficulty Marcia had in the selection process.

This thing is fascinating as hell.

That prosecution team was far out of their depth.

It humanizes Nicole very well, i thought - at least Part 2 did. to hear her voice on those 911 calls w/ OJ kicking down the backdoor and bursting in the house, dog cussing her, breaking shite, smacking her around, etc. She was literally scared for her life. And obviously she was right to be.

And just to flashback, 25 years ago interracial marriages/relationships were much more uncommon...

Wasn't this around the same time as Ali's anti mixing hate speech?

You speak on that which you do not know. How many black pastors do you personally know?

She should've never seen him again after that first date. Once she went back to him she was doomed.

You're the second poster to imply he raped her. I get the impression that she was easy and he just ripped her jeans in the act...

Have you never been hot as a firecracker and torn some ladies clothing trying to get it off fast?

Now if I'm wrong that's another thing, but I took it as he got the cat on the first date and tore it up, including the jeans.

Just the ones that that are literally the voice for the community...whenever they're on political shows and whatnot.

Community leaders might be the true voice, though.

That's possible, but given what we know about him it's not farfetched that he forced himself upon her. And in those letters to that guy she was dating later, she did write that he raped her during one of his beatings.

Like I thought, you don't know any personally.

Let me say this, black as well as all colors have false leaders. You judge a tree by the fruit it produces.

I know several black pastors personally. They are my brothers the same as my own blood. Closer even.

I imagine there are a shite ton of amazing black pastors...who wish they were the voice of the race.

Maybe we're talking about 2 different things here. I'm talking about the pieces of shite who I see on TV when something bad happens to a black person...or they do something bad.

Judge a tree by its fruit. Al sharpton is no peacemaker.

And to the other guy, I think rape was implied because of the lack of acceptance of interracial dating.

Most people would rather say a black man raped their daughter instead of admiring she wanted it. Just an idea

Meh, maybe guys like Sharpton, but the reverend they keep interviewing of the First AME Church seems like a pretty wholesome man. I believe he was the one with tears coming down his face then they were announcing the Rodney King verdict. He also said he tried to organize groups to prevent the riots but they were overwhelmed.

But he is a voice. And other like him. And they work closely with the families in these situations. The black families. I don't know how you can claim they aren't the voice when time after time after time they are pretty much hired to literally be the voice.

Through the first two parts I really hope they've done some editing to make two or three of the LAPD guys look worse than they are. I know Fuhrman is straight scum, but the other old-school guy talking about being held back during the Rodney King riots seems to have some backwards opinions as well. The bald guy with the mustache seems to understand the dynamics and the errors much better than the others.

I also want to reiterate how disgusting the cops were in the Rodney King case/trial. That scumbag that said he feared for his life and was then exhilarated in the post-trial presser makes my skin crawl.

Lastly, the judge who let that Asian woman off with probation is disgusting as well. I couldn't help but immediately think about the asshat that gave the Stanford swimmer only 9 months as well. For all the talk about how liberal California is with its politics, the decisions from some of these judges are hard to stomach.
