milroe is a stud, great kid too, BAMA got a good one, probably a WR in college
Milroe is absolutely a stud and a great kid. He really likes to work, and he’s a look you in the eye kind of kid which I really like. I think his biggest question going forward is how can he read a field when working through a progression. Tompkins is so run heavy (even with Milroe) that he’s throwing to pretty open guys a lot and doesn’t have to move his eyes. I like that he is a great runner, but he’d rather be mobile in the pocket and keeps his eyes downfield. There is a chance it might not translate, but there is for any kid. The only thing I disagree with is I have no idea where the WR move comes from. He’s got an absolute cannon for an arm which will never hold him back. I don’t see that coming. Bama is a good spot for him because he can sit, learn the system, and progress his reads. If he had ended up at Texas I wonder if they might have thrown him to the fire when ehlinger leaves.
