Lines aren't up on 5dimes yet I don't believe. Not sure when they will be. These lines are from the golden nugget and covers

Yeah, I believe I may take Michigan in that game. Bama loses Mark Barron, Courtney Upshaw, Donte Hightower, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Josh Chapman just to name a few. That is basically all of their impact players on defense from last year.
Alabama will have a strong O-line though, only lost the center Vlachos. I thought I read somewhere that Michigan will have to replace a bunch of starters off their defensive line, that could be somewhat of a concern. Overrated Alabama QB A.J. McCarron will be throwing the ball to less experienced receivers.

I like ND +13at USC and LSU -2 vs Bama. That implies that Bama would be a 1pt favorite at a neutral venue, and I just don't see that this year.

This is true for NFL (betting on double digit road favs is not a great idea) but not so for college.
Example: LSU -33 at Ole Miss, LSU -18 at Tennessee if my memory serves me right. Guess you missed out on those nice paydays.
Also, I need to do more research on the game but I am liking Bama -12 and teased early.

ETA: Which if that is any indication on which direction the line will move, I would run to 5dimes and bet Michigan at +12 if you want them. Looks like it will be moving down to +10 soon

In the NFL there are probable only a dozen road double digit favs all year so the rule doesn't really apply. Of course there are examples but it's still a terrible bet.

I take DD road favs on a case by case basis. I use the 'DD Rd Favorite' aspect as a tie breaker to not bet if I am torn on a game.

The more I think about it, I really can't go through with it at this time. I'm not really all that familiar with Michigan. I know enough about Alabama to make a bet but it will be a half arse guess. I'm assuming Alabama will try and run the ball as usual with that veteran O-line leading the way. Their defense will be pretty talented but there will be a lot less experience than there was last year on that side of the ball. Alabama will win the game but I don't see them blowing Michigan out at all.

I was talking about Alabama. I already mentioned I'm not that familiar with Michigan. I know they lost a good one in Mike Martin due to graduation but what is the rest of their D-line looking like?
