I don't really understand what Cleveland is giving up in this deal? They get Kris Humphries and a first round pick? Any they get rid of the $6 mil owed to Luke Walton. Am i missing something???

Pretty much this.
Brooklyn had to find a S&T taker on Humphries for in order to ship out enough in salary to get Dwight, as the CBA says they need to send 90% of Dwight's value out because they're far over the cap, and that had been a tough proposition because few teams with cap space wanted Humphries.
Cleveland is getting Humphries for one year, a 1st, $2-3m in cash, and shipping out Walton's expiring contract for helping the Nets pull off this clusterfrick.

I find it ironic that Cleveland would do this trade because of this lebron incident. Wasn't Dan Gilbert the one that wanted an end to this? Helping the big market while crippling the smaller ones.

Gilbert cares about his bottom line and his future more than anything.
Getting a future 1st from the Nets, cash, and dumping Adam Walton off his books erases a lot of butthurt over the LeBron deal and the failed CP3 deal to LA.

I don't understand why the Magic have to give up Earl Clark.. Isn't he decent and at a decent price?

If anything else besides trying to help out the Cavs, I'm sure Gilbert has no problem with lending his services to create another super team that could give the Heat a run for their money.

Woj saying that the Rockets are still fighting to get Howard.

I wonder if a 3 team trade has been discussed between LAL/Hou/Orl?
Hou-Bynum + bad orl contract (Richardson or BBD?)
LA- Howard+ bad orl contract(Turkoglu)
Orl- Kmart+lamb etc + multiple draft picks from Hou
Everyone wins all around. Lakers get Howard, Houston gets franchise center to build around and Orlando clears all of their bad contracts while getting a much better package of picks than the ones from Brooklyn.

Among Bynum's short list of potential free agent landing spots in 2013, Houston is prominent with Dallas and Cleveland, sources tell Y!

He listed Houston, Dallas, and Cleveland as teams he would like to play for once he becomes a FA.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this is what happens. The more I read the more I don't understand how the current 4 team trade could possibly work. It seems like the only way the Nets can get Howard is if he is the only player they take on unless the crappy throw in players are signed to really huge 1 year contracts.
