Innovating by living up to your contract through the final year and then choosing to go to a different team just as the rules of the league we're intended for you to do? Very different from involving your teams in long drawn out trade sagas we're you don't give 100%, get your coaches fired, and demand to only go to one team even though you signed the damn contract to play for that team

They should be, but LeBron was the innovator here and "The Decision" involved ripping out Cleveland's heart on live TV, which is a more lasting image than Howard, CP3, and Melo sniping through the press that they want out.

The problem is that all 3 of these forced their way out prior to their contracts being up.. whereas Lebron served his 5 years and then decided it wasn't the best place for him after that... And the decision haters can suck on a dick. millions of dollars to a boys club? boo fricking hoo.

They should be, but LeBron was the innovator here

The only innovative thing Lebron did was make an arse of himself by agreeing to televise the decision.

The idea of changing teams is clearly not new (even if people don't remember Shaq, Kareem, or Barkley they should still remember the Celtics of Allen and Garnett)

In the proposed deal, Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark would be sent to Brooklyn, and the Magic would receive the Nets' Brook Lopez, Damion James, Sheldon Williams, Cleveland's Luke Walton and three future first-round picks, sources said. Cleveland would receive Orlando's Quentin Richardson, Brooklyn's Sundiata Gaines, Kris Humphries (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Nets. Brooklyn also would send Brooks to a fourth team to get them an additional first-round pick to send to the Magic.

So Brook Lopez, 3 scrubs, and 3-4 bad draft picks. What a fking deal.

Each of these Superstar deals is making it more and more impressive what the Nuggets got out of the NYK.

If Houston isn't willing to give up Motie/Lamb/White or KMart for Howard, I think they'd be better off dumping him to any team that would take Turkgolu off their hands. They'd get a top 5 pick and would have a decent amount of salary to play with next year.

Exactly, there's no way the current deal on the table is the best they could do.

I don't think its that Houston isn't willing, I think the Magic just prefer Lopez to whatever Houston can offer.

Cleveland lose Lebron, gets Irving
Hornets lose Paul, gets Davis

That would be a good pickup for the Clippers, ignoring the 0 for 10 game he had today

CP3
Bledsoe
Billups
Brooks
Foye
Crawford

Am I missing any? I feel like there's more. 6 is still a lot, though.
