What happened in this game?
Dutchtown QB threw an INT at the end zone with under a minute left but they still had 3 time outs. STA got it to 3rd and about 2 and then got a false start penalty or something like that. And then the it just went downhill from there.

It was classless the way their kids acted after the game. No doubt this is where most of the Katrina refugees landed! Would never let my kids go to that place!
I'm sure Dutchtown is heartbroken over that.
You know how to keep Dutchtown kids from celebrating on your field? Don't celebrate the biggest win in decades with 3 minutes left and tell the administrators to keep their kids in the student section and not prepare to storm the field with 2 minutes left in the game.
I sat with STA people and the people around us weren't exactly acting with class and dignity.

You must be new to area and have a kid at Dutchtown. Considering they've redrawn the lines to favor Dutchtown for the most part. I think 75% of the players from STA in early 00's would now be Dutchtown students despite having to travel a shorter distance to STA.
The way Ascension parish drew the school districts is comical from elementary to the high school level.

I am relatively new to the area. I have no family at Dutchtown at all. I live in the district until they redraw them for the new school in Prairieville. I just like football. But I do hear people all over the parish whine about Dutchtown the same way everybody whines about Alabama. But you'd think with the talent that has come through Dutchtown they'd win a few playoff games.

Most people whine because when Dutchtown was complete the lines were redrawn. Area that use to produce a lot of the STA/EA players became Dutchtown and then when Katrina happened a lot of the sub divisions in Dutchtown offered discounted rates/lower notes/ etc so Dutchtown pulled a lot of the families from New Orleans area.

Did "Old Prairieville" use to be in STA district? Because I had heard from people on both sides that STA wants to beat Dutchtown so bad but they were glad that all the "Prairieville Trash" went to Dutchtown. I wondered where that came from.
The butthurt STA fan at the end of page 2 seems to confirm that.
I'm have a gut feeling that a lot of the Old Prairieville kids were part of the reason Dutchtown won. I know a lot of the players come from Geismar too.

This. They gave Dutchtown 75% of the growth areas (i.e. DNA from out of town that's taller than 5'6"). The lines are drawn this way because of race. They didn't want a discrimination lawsuit against the Parish School Board because sending your kid to the closest school would leave East Ascension having a much larger percentage of blacks than St. Amant and lily-white Dutchtown.
However, the fix has been in (Administratively) for Dutchtown since they were building the school when they went millions over budget and shafted the other three high schools in the parish out of getting the improvements they were promised as part of the deal to build the new school.
