The previous offseason, Los Angeles pickup runs with Durant and Irving planted the idea in Harden's mind to flee the Houston Rockets. This summer, Harden and Durant never entered the same gym, and Durant was disappointed by the poor conditioning Harden sported during those early Nets practices. Harden was also increasingly candid about wanting to test free agency for the first time.

Yikes

quote:

"Kevin and James had a cold war going for the last several months that made everyone miserable," one person with knowledge of the situation said.

quote:

Durant and Nash wanted a free-flowing offense, which Mike D'Antoni had helped install last season, but Harden preferred his patented iso ball. Brooklyn coaches noticed Harden would roll his eyes when an after-timeout play was designed for Durant, sources said.

quote:

After posting an emphatic 37-point triple-double on 13-of-24 shooting at the San Antonio Spurs on Jan. 21, Harden left the team for Houston and a night of clubbing, B/R has learned. He rejoined the traveling party in Minnesota for a Jan. 23 game against the Timberwolves and scored just 13 points on 13 attempts.

quote:

As last year's regular season wound toward the playoffs, there was some form of miscommunication when Harden was scheduled for morning treatment on his bothersome hamstring, sources said. After another late night out, Harden told Brooklyn staffers his legs felt fine. But after four minutes and 22 seconds of action against the New York Knicks on April 5, he reaggravated the injury that eventually sidelined him against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Just confirming that Jim cost the Nets a title last year due to his lack of conditioning/commitment to winning.

quote:

Harden didn't arrive at the Jazz game until halftime, sources told B/R. When it concluded and Brooklyn continued with its planned itinerary to Denver, Harden flew to Las Vegas, sources said.

When asked to confirm the account, one person close to Harden chuckled before responding, "That sure sounds like James, doesn't it?"

The short flight from Salt Lake City has made for frequent Vegas getaways for Harden dating back to his Rockets tenure, sources said. He would also stay behind following trips to Los Angeles and meet the team at its next destination. Daryl Morey afforded Russell Westbrook the same frequent flight privileges as Harden. And the Sunday before this year's trade deadline, Harden returned from Vegas to Denver but showed up late for the Nuggets game as well.

Lol. Titties over titles.

KD just doesn't understand true ledership

So Harden had a plan for a teambuilding activitiy and no one else showed up? Bunch of ungrateful bastards!!

Brooklyn Nets star James Harden admits he's still shaking off the rust after spending the offseason rehabbing a Grade 2 hamstring strain sustained last season. "I had no opportunities to play pickup or nothing this summer," Harden said after Wednesday's 106-93 loss to the Miami Heat, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk. "Everything was rehab for three months, from a Grade 2 injury that happened three times in one season. So this is my fifth game of trying to just play with competition against somebody else. "And as much as I want to rush the process and be back to hooping and killing, (have to) take your time."

It was known before the season started the James had a 3 month injury that he played on in the playoffs and that he was not gonna be able to get any run over the offseason.

It was coach nash who said harden was the undisputed leader and alpha of the team. KD obviously is not really a leader, never had been.

I have been around sports my whole life, and I have NEVER seen anyone ride one athlete’s dick as hard or as much as you do hardens..

Not someone’s mother, wife, child, baby momma, dad, brother, friend, etc

Seriously, what is your obsession with that guy? Do you know him personally? Go to school with him? Related to him??

Your obsession with everything harden related is pathetic and weird, and I’ve never seen anything like it

Please pull back the curtain and explain this to me

He had already checked out. Anything after Jan 17 when Kai said he was not gonna be available for
Home game. Anything after that day you can take w a grain of salt because he was making moves with the intent of being traded out of BKN.

ok so going from nash calling him the clear team leader and alpha to him leaving.

What caused that?

Do you think it was his teammate not being committed to playing and everyone else but him seemingly being ok with it. That seems like the most likely answer.

When you want to win and others don’t have the same desire it is going to cause issues.

So Nash Calling harden the clear alpha pissed off KD and that lead to the departure?
