After Aaron Harang absolutely nutdrug the Pirates yesterday (Complete game shutout on 3 hits and 9 k's), the Reds (2-3) go on the the road for the first time this season.

Volquez looks to bounce back from a shitty outing, taking on the Brew Crew and Yovani Gallardo. The bats continue to remain quiet, with the exception of Phillips and Votto. Actually, those two have had some pretty dismal plate appearances as well over the first week, but have made up for it with key hits in other situations.

This three game series against Milwaukee begins a trip that includes 4 games at Houston, followed by 3 games at Chicago.

In other news, Homer Bailey got destroyed in his first AAA outing this year. He gave up nine runs, eight of them earned, on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out 5, walked one, and gave up three dingers. frick.

Harang was impressive...but then again it was the Bucs. I'm rooting for ya'll against the Brewers.

Yeah, i'd imagine you are. The Brewers are much more of a threat to the Cubs than the Reds.

He beter bounce back. I'm starting him today in my FBL.

BTW, Sinesi, Stillson & me are going to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, & Cincinnati to catch games in June. It will be my first time at all three parks. I went to Riverfront in 1989.

Yeah. I hope someone takes over his blog when he kicks the bucket. I may apply.

That's awesome. I almost called Sinesi this weekend. I hear PNC in Pittsburgh is incredible.

It was rather phenomenal.

And I'm also impressed the baserunners all did the right thing afterwards.

When you go to Cincy this summer, you should get with him. It is just over 4 hours to Pittsburgh.

I haven't seen it yet.

I did see Jack Wilson turn a helluva DP yesterday though.

After seeing both teams play this year, I may put the Pirates over the Astros.

I had 5th. See the edit? I was thinking there were only 5 teams.

When you try to work and post at the same time, shite happens.

Redd, what's the deal with Jay Bruce? I haven't gotten to see many of his at-bats but I see he's been struggling at the plate. Dude has a sweet swing when he's seeing the ball well.

Yeah... the Astros are bad, but Berkman and Lee both started off slow. They'll be hitting better soon.
