Draymond Green is quietly having another bad year

Draymond signed a 4yr, $100MM extension before the start of this season, and he's proceeded to be just as bad, if not worse, than he was last season.
8.4 pts, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists on 39.1% shooting from the floor this season. Dude has gone from an offensive liability to an offensive black hole.
You know how good players on bad teams put up great stats? Draymond is the polar opposite of that. PER of 12.9 this year and 12.9 last year too. Negative box plus/minus this year. Remember when people said he was the most important piece for GS?

OP is probably dredging up an argument he had with another random poster five years ago.

I thought somebody around here said he would be a 20/10 type of guy on a team like the Pels. Hmmmmm

Your hate for Draymond is still carrying over from the LeBron in Cleveland years, huh?

Everyone knew he was the NBA's version of Peerless Price. He's a great sidekick but that's his ceiling.

Never said most people.
However, there is a reason like 20% of NBA players polled say Draymond is the most overrated player in the league. Dude is given way too much credit.

Ah, a thread targeting Mr Perfect. At least it’s not Boom this time.

Literally the most overrated players in league history. A slightly above average role player that happens to play with absolute superstars in the perfect system.

No one on the Warriors gives a damn about this season. Why give anything close to 100% when you know this seasons means frick all?

I'll start by hedging and saying he doesn't deserve max money and he's no superstar and at best should be the 4th best piece on your team.
And that's what he was with those GS teams that made the finals. Being the 4th best piece is different from being most important. His value to those teams was immeasurable. He was the toughness, the grit, dirty work guy. He gave them a toughness for the playoffs even though they were soft teams otherwise.(Iggy gets some credit for the grime as well) Personally think his part was the most important part, the glue you could say. Take him off the team and I'm not sure they win all 3 titles. We've seen they could win without Durant. Klay could've been supplemented for. Curry is the only argument of importance imo. I kind of see those 2 linked. They needed each other. The other pieces could've been numerous different players and it would've played out the same.

Sportscenter and other talking heads have said "Green is the glue and x factor for the warriors" "without him we wouldn't have what the Warriors are" I'm not agreeing with those viewpoints but I have heard the argument before.

There have been multiple people on this board who have consistently defended this position.

I mean his skill set is pretty unique. The way he can defend multiple positions, rebound & pass
Lol at using +\- for a guy playing on the worst team in the league
