Drake vs the average fan

I’m sure tomorrow Green and drakes little interaction will be talked about but why does drake get away with all the trash talking and a guy simply asks the knicks owner to sell the team for the good of the fans and his tickets are pulled and he’s banned? Or Westbrook gets into it with a Jazz fan and he's banned.
Is it the players who push for fans to be banned?
Do they have that much power?
Just curious what everyone thinks of drake, his antics, and should the nba do something?

Because he’s a massive celebrity. Pretty obvious answer

Because he's famous and the players already know him.

You mean like Spike Lee and Jack Nicholson?

He is a celebrity. The NBA has always enjoyed celebrity-player interaction
Nothing new

I understand that but if green punched him is his face then what? Suspend green but do they come back for game 5 with drake right there?

He better hope the Dubs don’t close out in game 5
That would be a shameful amount of crow to have to eat in public

If he physically attacks a fan? Yes, that’ll get you suspended.
You act like this is something new. Drake doesn’t have shite on some of the great celebrity shite talkers in NBA history.

Idk, wearing a signed Dell Raptors jersey was all-time

I personally love Drake getting in their heads. He’s playing Draymond with his own game

You use a Reggie Miller/Spike Lee gif and it's not even the choke?

I wanted both of them in the gif. The choke gifs only show Miller

I am going to let you in on a truth in life. It ain't pretty and it ain't fair but, like all truths, it is real:
Some people can do shite that others cannot.
Easily realized examples:
I cannot dunk a basketball. Some folks can.
I cannot play 'boogie woogie piano.' Some folks can.
My old arse cannot get into a new trendy VIP club in Manhattan. Some folks can.
Having said that, I can out BBQ every mother fricker on this board (as far as I know).
Keep your expectations within your bough and do not grasp the branches of another one's tree.
You okay. It does not have to be fair to be okay.

I’m gonna reread your post again. This time imagining the voice of. Jack Donaghy.

Drake vs the average fan
Well first of all while he is a fan, he is also technically a member of the Raptors organization as "Community Ambassador"
Posted on 5/31/19 at 11:21 am to GeauxtigersMs36
I thought Drake owned a piece of the Raptors.

Drake may have courtside seats, but the rapper does not have an ownership stake in the Toronto Raptors. What is Drake’s role with the Raptors? Drake’s technical title is a Community Ambassador, causing many fans to wonder what exactly this entails. It is a win-win for both parties as it gives Drake even more exposure, and helps add a cool factor to the Raptors franchise.
While he is far from making roster decisions for the team, Drake’s role is real and the Raptors were even fined in 2014 for the rapper publicly commenting on Kevin Durant’s free agency. Drake’s Raptors fandom comes from growing up in Toronto. According to Yahoo, Drake grew up in the Forest Hill neighborhood of Toronto, Canada.
“I grew up with a mom who was deep in debt because she wanted best for family,” Drake told Ghomeshi.
In Forest Hill, he found being “biracial” was more of a concern than it was when he lived in the poorer section of Weston Road. “It was actually girls gave me a harder time than guys,” he said.
However, he admitted that later on in his career, being a black Jewish rapper wasn’t something he had to overcome in Toronto. “I’m from a place that is true mosaic,” Drake said. “To me, we’re the most open-minded place you can find yourself.”

Drake’s job description with the Raptors as a Community Ambassador is not clearly defined, and he is not believed to be on the team’s payroll, per Pitchfork. The Raptors announced his Community Ambassador title in 2013 and there was a 2018 news conference announcing an expanded partnership. Drake’s record label, OVO Sound, has naming rights for the team’s practice facility and even had its logo on t-shirts distributed to fans attending Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Drake’s antics during games have created quite a controversy. Members of the Bucks coaching staff publicly complained, and even NBA commissioner Adam Silver has chimed in essentially asking the rapper to tone it down a bit.
“We appreciate how big a fan he is, and I know the Raptors do,” Silver said, per NBA.com. “He has the official designation ‘ambassador’ … and he’s a global star, so it’s a huge deal that he’s so engaged with the team and loves the NBA so much. Obviously, there’s some lines that even ambassadors shouldn’t cross.”
