Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports that the Dodgers have discussed Allen Webster, Zach Lee, Rubby De La Rosa and Jerry Sands in trade talks with the Red Sox.
The Dodgers and Red Sox are reportedly close to a deal that would send Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford and Nick Punto to Los Angeles. The Red Sox wouldn't get all four of the names mentioned above, but one or more of them could go in a trade package. Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Red Sox would send some cash to the Dodgers to help facilitate a deal.

These contracts haven't stopped Boston from doing a damn thing, the play on the field has. Promise you Boston been in first or leading WC they would have added at deadline

update: Speaking on WGAM with Matt Perrault, ESPN Boston’s Gordon Edes said he believes the Red Sox would get back RHP Rubby De La Rosa, INF Ivan De Jesus, 1B/OF Jerry Sands and 1B James Loney in return for Gonzalez, Crawford, Beckett and Punto

I've thought for a while Loney might thrive on getting out of Dodger Stadium. Fenway could be a good fit for him.

I actually was hopeful to get Loney a few seasons ago when the Dodgers were in on Oswalt. I liked him and thought he was a good fit to play in Minute Maid. Not as high on him now, given his age and we've got comparable options.
