Yea it was a story that his team had ESPN take down that was later put back up.

You mean the video where he got dunked on by some nobody in a pick-up game and had espn/YouTube/whomever delete it?

Root for Lebron. Why does Lebron get so much heat for flopping? Don't get me wrong I hate it. Do Parker & Ginobli get ignored because they do it better? These guys go flying to the floor when they drive the lane untouched.
Spurs fan up until the Hornets came to NOLA.

Same way. I grew up loving MJ, when he retired I stuck with Phil, and jumped to the Lakers due to Shaq. Always liked Lebron, dude seems well grounded for signing a 100 Mill contract out of HS with Nike!

i root for him, just not vs. the Pels...
the hate on him is just jealousy... as far as "the decision", that shite is played out, and if you ain't from cleveland, why would you STILL hold some sort of dumb arse grudge against him? shite, even people from Cleveland got over it after a year or so...
as far as a person, you never hear about him doing wrong, cheating on his wife, doing drugs, fricking around with guns, etc.... he's clean as a whistle, and in this day and age, with cameras and shite EVERYWHERE, that's impressive as hell... for the most part, the new mature LeBron is the quintessential role model for kids.... superstar on the court, and upstanding man off it...

I don't root for him.
He doesn't play for the Grizzlies.
The decision was ridiculous.
This whole spectacle about him returning to Cleveland because he wanted to help out his home team is hilarious. It was the better basketball situation than Miami. Kyrie already there and multiple great assets to move compared to an aging D Wade who disappeared in the finals and a Heat roster that had zero flexibility under the current cap.
He whines CONSTANTLY on the court.
When Rudy Gay had this big basketball event in Memphis, Lebron had this aura of don't get me near me. He was basically a giant dick to everyone. Meanwhile guys like KD couldn't be any nicer signing autographs for everyone they could.

No. The whole "King James" thing and the "Chosen One" thing since being in high school, wearing number 23 and anointing himself as the one to surpass Jordan being from Cleveland of all places who Jordan made his bitch as a pastime just all has rubbed me the wrong way.
He's been reading too many of his own press releases for far too long. Never before has someone bought into his own hype so much and did so long before he ever accomplished a damn thing much less before the "Decision" bullshite and went ring chasing while he was still in his prime.
To me he typifes everything that's shitty about the 2000's. As far as generational superstars goes, he's easily the biggest sissy.
Jordan, Bird, Magic, Dr J, Jerry West all had more heart and fortitude and would all have made LBJ their respective bitch.

quote:thank you. I really don't see how any rational person would believe his returning to Cleveland was some big altruistic gesture. not saying what he did by going back was wrong or should be held against him by any means but those believing that he did this out of the goodness of his heart and not for basketball reasons are really gullible

I like watching him play, Kobe was my favorite growing up and still is but I enjoy lebron too. I will always cheer against either though when they play the Hawks.

had FA been the same as it is now, almost every player you mentioned would have ended up somewhere other than the teams they are known to have played with...

c'mon man... you can hate on him all you want, but with his size and athleticism, the only player that would have a shot would be Jordan...
Lebron vs. Larry Bird...
