So basically your question is do small-market teams have fans outside of their market

To answer your questions about teams in my state (TN), the Grizzlies had average NBA attendance until they started tanking a couple years ago. They also had one of the better environments in the NBA for 5-6 years. They just didn't sell out the "bad" games that the big market teams do.

The Titans had a sellout streak that went from when they opened Nissan Stadium in 1999 (164 straight) until the end of 2014. Believe playoff games are included.

So yes, these teams do have fans, plenty of them, they just do not carry a national market. Not to mention, the Grizzlies have only been a franchise for 25 years. It would be pretty unlikely they'd be a national brand. And the Titans have only been in Tennessee for 20.

Living in Nashville and all of my friends that are actually from here are big Titans fans.

The issue is barely anyone you meet here is from here.

My 8 year old son is a Jaguars fan. I don't know why, but he has a Jags hat and asked for a Minshew jersey for Christmas. He looks up their stats and can pretty much name their entire starting lineup.

Do the Rams still have fan support in STL?

No. They're still some Big Red fans left, but most are either Chiefs or Packers fans.

I would've remained a Rams fan, but their owner couldn't help himself by being a prick so...

The grizzlies have probably the most dedicated fans I’ve ever seen. Living up there, if you were in a bar or restaurant, didn’t matter how many other things were on, every tv was going on the grizzlies. They turned the fricking World Series off one night for that shite. Same with Memphis Tigers. Absolute blind cult devotion.

My dog. I grew up in Jax Beach and am a huge Jags fan. Surprisingly I meet a lot of us out here in Colorado. Every Jags fan I know is die hard and has a Jacksonville connection.

But it’s kind of hilarious because I live in Breckenridge Colorado, and we have 4 huge Jags fans in my office. More than any other team.

I have zero connection to the city or state hah.

I just liked their colors/mascot as a kid and the Browns had abandoned Ohio so here we are.

The two teams I never see fans of Athletics and Kings

They never are at their games and never see people wearing their stuff when traveling

Every Jags fan I’ve ever known or met has some sort of connect to Jax. Glad to have someone like you on board. At least your not a Cowboys fan.

eh I never thought that about these franchises to be honest.
Michigan is a big state.
DC is a big market.
And the Jazz fans always seem rambunctious/I've met a bunch who are still fans from the Malone and Stockton days.
