I think Ryan Day needs to give up play calling. With NIL and portal and all the bull shite you gotta deal with in CFB now days I think a head coach needs to go the CEO route. Hell Drinkwitz did it and Mizzou just had the best season in a long while.

I agree with this. I'd also like to see a few changes on the staff. It would seem that college football is passing LJSr. by and every year we lose recruiting battles on the DL partly because his age is brought up by the competition time and time again. I'd love to see Laurinitis put into that role. There are other changes but that's the primary change I'd like to see along with an OC that calls plays.

Day has to be on the hot seat next year. He beats up on shitty Big 10 teams but never wins the big games.

I missed this post last night.

Ohio State is a very odd position because Gene Smith is retiring in a couple months. I don’t know if the new AD will have the guts to fire Day.

The staff changes should be:

-Parker Fleming fired. We shouldn’t have a dedicated ST assistant. It’s a waste.
-New QB coach that doesn’t essentially act as Day’s intern. Get an actual fricking QB coach.
-Make JL the LB coach.

I’m fine with Larry Johnson staying on staff. But there needs to be a come to jesus moment between him and Knowles. They clearly don’t align with what they want the DL doing.

And you are coping by riding Mizzou's coattails.

We were actually able to beat Mizzou. Unlike OSU.

Usually AD'S don't clean house right at first. He'll have one more year. If Harbaugh is still at Michigan, there is no way Day survives with a 4th consecutive loss to UM.

I could have been more clear. The new AD 100% won’t fire Day when immediately starting the position. I’m questioning whether he would do it if Day were to lose to Michigan again followed by another bad playoff/bowl loss.

9 losses in 5 years is ok with them, but the 1-3 vs Michigan is not.

I see one of your DL just jumped into the portal.

He's been here for 5 years, so he has only his COVID year left.

Brian Kelly made a poor decision and someone died, it's just funny to say Ryan Day has never held responsibility for someone dying in practice. It infers hes helped kill a guy somewhere else .

Well we did accept Marvin Harrison's son on to the team.

Got the years left crossed up from Hintzman.

*Would be surprised if UW hasn't slid into his DMs.

I'm not sure why he didn't play.

We're they doing Matt Jones a solid letting him get Center reps on film for the draft? Getting him center reps for next year?

Hinzman wasn't on the injury report, so was it disciplinary?
