Still a home game for a team that beat you down. Reminds me of the Virginia Tech fans last year that said they wouldn't mind a rematch with LSU.

Everybody gets their panties in a wad the 4th week of the season, but it works itself out every year.

If it "worked out" every year, Tiger fans wouldn't have this abject hatred for all things USC. All that energy could have been directed to more fruitful endeavors.... like, figuring out a way for our gov't to pay poor people to get their tubes tied. Seriously, what the hell is up with that guy?

The BCS is one of the best things to ever happen to college football, IMO.

No doubt. I remember #1s playing like #12s before the BCS. shite pre-BCS was fricking terrible. It may not be perfect(although no sane LSU fan can argue against it), but it's infinitely better than what came before it.

Actually, Tiger fans hate USC because the BCS did work, but the AP didn't want to admit that it did.

At least, that's why I hate USC.

Carl. Most of us understand what you are saying, but it's how the media talks up USC so much, that when they finally get beaten, people are thinking, "I am not surprised".

While I'm in the minority, this is why I like the bowl system. The interest and impact of this game is nationwide and the emotions on both sides are huge.

There are no gimme wins. Especially in conference. Especially on the road. Nobody sleep-walks through their schedule. 1-game schedules are a myth. You have to show up every fricking single week.

There are no gimme "most dominant teams in college football" either, but after just a couple of wins over mediocre opponents (tOSU being one this year), Herbstreit, Muffburger, and ESPN are always in a hurry to place that title on USC. During the OSU/USC game they talked as if it was a done deal that USC would be in the BCSCG, and win it!

USC is no better or worse than many other teams, but every year some in the sports media act like USC is all there is. Last night proved them wrong again.
