That's my point. One is penalized severely by a domineering league for what most would consider a minor offense, while the other gets off financially scott free for what most would consider repulsive human behavior. The scales aren't calibrated correctly.

Because they aren't on the same scale. They are completely different situations. I'm not sure who you're mad at here

Boxing needs may whether more than football needs Dion Jordan. That's just how the two sports work

I understand that it's not sports reality, but that should be immaterial.

What if your avatar boy was in Jordan's shoes right now. Would the NFL back off?

Wonder where rocket31 is to weigh in.

Was coming to post the same thing. At some point, hopefully it clicks for rocket that no one in the other thread had an issue with smoking weed.

Probably to be honest. The NFL needs Brady more than it needs Dion Jordan. I won't pretend like they would probably find a way to cover it up for him or any other elite QB, or probably not test him at all

But you don't get to the position of Brady/Manning/Brees career by taking stupid risks like smoking pot during NFL testing season multiple times.

And just to be clear I think the Weed testing/punishment system in the NFL is a joke and I feel that Mayweather should be accountable for what he did

I just think they are apples and oranges, and you can't really apply the insanity of one to the other

Damn. I wanted the Saints to get him more than anyone in that draft. Good thing I'm not in the front office.

Kelly is making the same mistake Spurrier did. You can't sign all your old players and think they can do the same thing against NFL competition. His Oregon teams dominated Pac 12 defenses and then got crushed consistently against the quality defenses when it counted. The McCoy trade and then Murray pickup is one of the most boneheaded decisions I have ever seen. Murray has had one healthy year and now he is about to get paid and lazy.

Doesn't he have as many positive tests as sacks for the Dolphins?

I don't remember Jordan being that dominant on the college level either. He just had unreal measurables

That whole draft had "superb" pass rushing prospects. I think none of them produced double digits.

Blame Goodell, it is policy, the other leagues aren't having a problem with players getting suspended for weed.
