These are brackets that have been discussed on this board before.
Current CFP Model
1 LSU
2 Ohio St
3 Clemson
4 Georgia
P5 Champs +1 model
Oregon vs Georgia (at large), winner plays LSU
Oklahoma vs Clemson, winner plays Ohio St
P5, Top G5, Plus 2
8 Cincinnati (G5) vs 1 LSU
5 Alabama (At large) vs Georgia (At large)
7 Oklahoma vs 2 Ohio St
6 Oregon vs 3 Clemson
Cincinnati is still top G5 due to unbeaten in AAC and ranked higher than Boise who is unbeaten in MWC
Bylaws used in every championship 20% of membership
17 Iowa vs 16 Notre Dame, winner plays 1 LSU
24 Miami, OH, vs 9 Oklahoma, winner plays 8 Penn St
20 Boise St vs 13 Michigan, winner plays 4 Georgia
21 Oklahoma St vs 12 Wisconsin, winner plays 5 Alabama
18 Memphis vs 15 Auburn, winner plays 2 Ohio St
23 Marshall vs 10 Minnesota, winner plays 7 Utah
19 Cincinnati vs 14 Baylor, winner plays 3 Clemson
22 Appalachian St vs 11 Florida, winner plays 6 Oregon
G5 Tournament plus 1
Marshall vs Appalachian St, winner plays Memphis (At large)
Miami, Oh vs Boise St, winner plays Cincinnati
Memphis is the At large due to Cincinnati being unbeaten in AAC
Tomorrow I’m going to add a bracket that would get people really upset

If they expand the playoffs shoe-in teams will start missing the conference championship game on purpose.

I don’t think they would as seeding is huge in these things as is travel
If they used the By law form you’d play Rd 1 and Rd 2 at home, via bids, use the 7 top bowls and CFPCG for Qtrs and Semis.
The amount of money it would gain for everyone involved in the game is insane.

Not if it means playing the first round on the road as an at-large bid instead of at home as a top seed.

Is it a 64 team tournament?

This is a bracket that is completely illogical, but it is one I have seen argued for by some on the internet, in the past. To gain automatic entry you must win your division. The reasoning is if you can not finish top 2 in your division, then why are you included. I do not like this at all.
There are 19 division winners in FBS football. It punishes teams such as Notre Dame and BYU for not being in a conference forcing them to earn entry via at large. The seeding is from the CFP playoff rankings and if not ranked using the Massey Index.
17 Navy (AACW) vs 16 Appalachian St (SBCE), winner plays 1 LSU (SECW)
24 Miami, OH (MACE) vs 9 Oklahoma (B12), winner plays 8 Penn St (At Large)
20 San Diego St (MWCW) vs 13 Michigan (At Large), winner plays 4. Georgia (SECE)
21 Marshall (CUSAE) vs 12 Wisconsin (At large), winner plays 5 Alabama (At Large)
18 Louisiana (SBCA) vs 15 Boise (MWCE), winner plays 2 Ohio St (B1GE)
23 Central Michigan (MACW) vs 10 Minnesota (B1GW), winner plays 7 Utah (PACS)
19 Virginia Tech (ACCC) vs 14. Cincinnati (AACE), winner plays 3 Clemson (ACCA)
22. Louisiana Tech (CUSAW) vs 11 Florida (At Large), winner plays 6. Oregon (PACN)
