Who dat is something people from the south actually say. Who Dey just sounds like an awkward 80 year old white person trying to catch on to a fad. I don’t see people up in the north near Canada talking like “who Dey say Dey goin’ beat” anything.

Yeah, people that don't know how to pronounce "th". People don't go around saying "dat" in normal conversation except for maybe "down the bayou".

I don't remember hearing "Who dat" until the 1987 season following Mora's famous woulda coulda shoulda rant and the dome patrol. The Saints really had no reason to "who dat" prior to that year.
