Curry can light it up from 3.

But so can a lot of guys.

If it was that easy, OKC can just add a Korver, Reddick, Ryan Anderson etc for 1/2 the price.

I mean, Miami thought the same thing for Ray Allen. He's old but can still stroke it. He hasn't done anything. Not because be sucks but there are only so many shots.

There are cheaper options, no doubt.

Battier and Mike Miller were jacking up bricks all the live long day.

Martin will probably re-sign for cheap, and it won't be a big deal.

Just interesting to contemplate.

Everyone gave OkC shite saying they reached for harden. Think about if they took curry at 3

Would have worked out but I think both teams made the right pick. OKC just couldn't keep harden

Ehh I dont know about that. I think Curry is getting on that same level as the 2nd tier players in the NBA which include the likes of Harden.

But in regards to the OP, no they did not mess up by drafting Harden over Curry. You gotta think about when they drafted him. Did they know both guys would turn out like they did? No. They took the guy they thought would be better. And he has been until this season IMO, and you can argue that Harden still was better this year. Not like 1 guy sucks while the other guy is great. Both guys and bonafide scorers and rising stars.

Curry is a much better fit around Durant/Westbrook than Harden was. Harden's game is fairly similar to Westbrook's. It'd be damn scary to think what Curry's percentages would be with drive and kicks from Durant/Westbrook.

Knowing what we know today, would he of been a better fit? Yes, of course. But were talking about them drafting him over Curry. Harden was a consensus top 3 pick during the draft. Curry was the guy that had March Madness magic at a small school that could be a top 10 guy. There have been a lot of players like him in college that have gone on to do nothing in the NBA.

Decisions should be judged by the information available at the time, not the outcome.

I agree, but it's still fun to discuss.

Again, you're letting a few postseason games cloud your judgement of Curry.

He's a good player, yes. But his regular season wasn't anything superstarish. Even Eric Gordon posted similar numbers a few years ago.

curry is also fragile.

Leading the league in 3s is great.. Ryan Anderson, dorrel wright, and Aaron brooks are your past leaders in 3s though.

As for Harden, he's a guy that does it all. There are like 3 players in the league who can do what he does. There are more guys who do what curry does.

Again, I like curry and what he has done in the postseason is great. But people in the media and twitter are trying to crown this dude as NBA Elite and he isn't

Curry would be such a good fit on the Thunder though. With a much "easier" workload so to speak.
