He had that week a while back where he got hot. Everybody thought he figured something out. Didn’t last but maybe that showed the Nats that it’s just a matter of time. Idk, I’m just playing devils advocate

I think he’s referring to you calling young a 4th/5th OF. He’s CF1. But you’re both right. He’s only there cause they have no other options and he has a glove lol

I said it before he got drafted, and I’m sure I’ll get downvoted into infinity, but I just don’t see Crews bat playing at the MLB level. Just my opinion.

I was just coming to ask this? Didn't he have a really good two weeks or something?

Young players will have inconsistency. He will be fine

Yeah & if you take those 2 weeks out, he’s hitting .094

Did he have the 2 weeks? It shows he can do it. MLB is hard. He is too talented not to come around at some point to at least being not a huge liability on O

Nobody is arguing that he doesn’t. I agree. We’re saying that it might need to happen at AAA. You’d swear this is some novel concept. Top prospects come up and struggle all the time. Top prospects get sent back to AAA all the time. We’re wondering why they’re allowing Crews to just flounder away as one of the WORST hitters in baseball. That’s all. My opinion is the Nats see something that makes them feel ok with it. I also wonder wtf could that be lol

Teams have gotten a lot more comfortable the last few years aggressively pushing prospects, which is awesome. This is clearly the downside, and they are understandably on the fence about whether to send a kid down and what other non baseball impacts that may have. Astros are in a little bit of a similar spot with Cam Smith though he hasn’t been nearly as bad as Crews

Yeah, I’ve been watching Cam smith for obvious reasons lol. He’s doing much better considering he had about 12 career minor league ABs

Yes, but they cant send him down immediately or that could seriously damage his psyche. Give him until the All-Star break to see if he figures it out.

Lmao He’s 70 games into his MLB career. He’s a gold glove in CF. And he has elite speed There’s a better chance of him winning MVP one day than him not figuring it out I couldn’t imagine posting in a thread and clearly knowing nothing about it

Oh…..wow lol

Lol. I understand the reply. Was just a gut feeling. I thought Langford was a better prospect. And I LOVE Dylan crews

His peripherals show a good amount of bad luck. He hadn’t been great but certainly not this bad
