Common sense too. You just want to argue for the sake of it. You do that a lot.

There is no common sense about a potential hold out. It doesn’t help him in the least with the new CBA rules about hold outs

Not to mention it's a lot more people than just Schefter. As you bolded and pointed out. So not sure on that either.

No chance he plays for Texans if they don't trade him. Not worth the injury risk on a bad team you hate.

I know I wouldn't want a disgruntled star playing for me and giving half arse effort. I don't think the Texans will have a choice but to get rid of him.
You’re telling me he’s just gonna half-arse it and dick around for the next 5+ years into his 30’s?

37 million is plenty of money to make the risk worth it

He may hold out but will be back when he realizes how much it’s gonna cost him...... I don’t understand the risk factor but that doesn’t really matter because you can get hurt even when you are happy on a great team.....

He doesn’t have a whole lot of time to decide during that period

Under the new CBA you can only hold out 5 practices before the contract tolls

quote:

First, the daily training-camp fines would become mandatory for players operating under their second contracts. That’s a huge difference, given that most teams usually wipe the slate clean once the player reports.

So when, for example, a player incurs $40,000 per day for staying away from camp for 10 days, the full $400,000 comes from his pocket, and neither he nor the team can do anything about it.

And forget about $40,000 per day. Second, the amounts of the fines would be “substantially increased.” The specific numbers aren’t yet known. Third, the player will lose an accrued season toward free agency by failing to show up for camp on town or by leaving camp for more than five days.

This would supersede the rule that removes an accrued year only if the player fails to report within 30 days before the first game of the regular season. As we’ve said in the past, players operate under two contracts. And it’s the broader contract between league and union that dictates the penalties for violating the terms of the specific contract between team and player. The broader contract would be getting a lot less forgiving, under the terms of the proposed labor deal.

Florio said it as well, knew I saw it from many places.

However, a reconciliation seems unlikely, as insiders have told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio that Watson is "willing to not show up, no matter what it may cost."

That means absolutely nothing

Florio literally just makes shite up 80 percent of the time

And again, threatening to do it and doing it are two very different things

It would be more like Baker, OBJ, and two 1st round picks.

He wants a black head coach so it’s the Dolphins but I think the broncos would be a better fit.

You don’t know this.... pathetic..... all he has said is that he wants A say on hiring...... I never had a choice on who they were gonna hire as my bosses..... he needs to honor the contract he signed and quit being a Whinney bitch.
