Is he hurt? Does their offensive line suck? He looked...awful last night. Slow, stiff, non-elusive, tall and upright...

Vs. Giants

21 carries for 82 yards with a long of 18 (3.9 average)

Vs. Bills

13 carries for 25 yards with a long of 9 yards yards (1.9 average)

The titans may be the worst team in the league.

Maybe he’s just a running back who turned 28 after a lot of usage?

I understand, but didn't he just get a new deal? The game has changed - especially his style of play.

Yep, a running back can age a decade in one season.

He's always been a RB who needs to get going to really go places. The playbook on him from college was you better get him gang tackled before he gets past the DL.

he's not slow, but I do think it takes him time to get up to full murdering speed.

Yeh he is an enigma. He is a giant physical specimen who is fast as shite, but he isn’t good in short yardage situations.

I drafted him on my fantasy team this year. He’s destined to have a shite season.

Tennessee’s OL isn’t great and they’ve kind of ran him into the ground, to no fault of his own.

Tennessee is also weak at QB and WR, leaving it pretty easy for defenses to key on Derrick Henry. He is their offense at this point.

This. They have absolutely no weapons outside of Henry. All you have to do is play the run, and then Tannehill will throw it to the other team when they do try to pass.

Go even further back. Last 3 games last year:

vs. Bengals 20-62 (3.1) (playoffs)
vs. Colts 28-68 (2.4)
vs. Chiefs 29-86 (3.0)

In the 5 games prior to that, he went for at least 113 in all of them, averaging at least 4.0 in each game.

Definitely trending in the wrong direction.

His line is shite at run blocking and pas blocking. Tannehill didn't have time to do shite.

If you knock him off his path/rhythm before he gets momentum going, he isn't going to do much. He doesn't have side-to-side agility really and won't make a streaking defender in the backfield miss.

But if he gets a few steps, he's extremely dangerous.

Their OL won't give him a few steps, absolute shite unit.

Defenses have little to no respect for Tannehill and those receivers, and the oline is bad. Not a good recipe for getting a running game going.
