I started this thread a few days ago and was basically told that the Bears had no chance...it did make the victory a little sweeter! I still believe that you win with class...good luck to the jackets the rest of the season!

Makes no matter to me if i were wrong. Just means that denham is worse than i thought and the divison for Central is easier than I thought (5 peat bitches)

Denham line got no push at all. The center hit his leg with the shotgun snap twice, both resulting in turnovers in DS territory. Defensive line got held a few times, notablely on the first big pass play. Denhams best QB is playing receiver, and they should have stayed in the wildcat the whole game. Catholic showed up, Denham executed poorly. Gonna be a long game against Rummel if they don't improve.

Agreed.... The kid is a great athlete so they like him at receiver, but they have a young qb and won't throw the ball out there to him so whats the point?

Yeah it's a tough call. You still have Suggs and #1 (not sure of everybody's names this year, only got to make the Broadmoore game) so there are really enough receivers for high school level to work with.

#1 is brooks

Sophomore With ridiculous hands. Not great foot speed just yet as he is still in that awkward growing phase. Hadn't quite grown into his body.

His dad is a huge guy, all his uncles are huge, and that kid has hands the size of Lawson and Brooks is only about 175 or so.

If he grows into his hands he can be a Marques colston type possession receiver cause he don't drop balls

Yeah. I have seen him at practice on film (the coach you played in high school with is my bother) and he looked like he could catch. He will get faster throughout his career. Could be the next Singleton from last year.

You know who else has hands like that? Erwin the qb.

They have a super talented freshman qb playing down right now who might make it interesting next year for Erwin's junior year

Haven't gotten the chance to see him catch.

One thing is for sure. They have to tighten up before Rummel rolls in.

Catholic High fans talk way too much trash. Always have.

I thought the Catholic fans in here were very low key...the only trash talking I saw was coming from those pulling for the Livingston boys.

Oh, and on a side note: Go Bears! Hopefully Dale can right the ship from last year!

Some of you Denham fans sound like Bama fans.

Denham beat themselves, worst performance ever, Catholic may have won, but that doesn't mean they're back, etc.

...sounds like some of you are taking your material straight out of the Gump handbook. Can't ya just congratulate the winning team and take your licks?

Hell, it was that way when I was at Catholic in late 80's/early 90's. St. Amantians are even worse about it.

I was a Catholic student '00-04 and those CHS-St. Amant games were always intense...

There was always an "incident" in the parking lot between St. Amant and CHS fans. So much so that by my Jr and Sr years, the CHS admin asked students not to stay around in the parking lots after the games, but to head straight to our cars.

Probably followed up by, "if you are caught out in the parking lot, you will receive Saturday school..."

Sorry if it sounded like that, but it's not at all what was meant. Catholic showed up to play ball, executed well, and took it to DS. DS showed up with their C game, looked to be playing tight, Blanchard got nicked up, and catholic dominated them. Catholics RB is legit.

Congrats to Catholic, but, did you watch the fricking game?
It was a pathetic offensive performance ,filled with mistakes and turnovers.
I wasn't trying to take credit away from the Bears, more wondering wtf a good offensive coach like Nettles had the offense so unprepared

Yeah. It was a pretty bad offensive performance. Especially when your center hits his leg twice with the shotgun snap, causing 2 turnovers in your territory. O-line wasn't getting their normal push. They just looked off

So glad Catholic went in and laid a classy beatdown on those trashy arse LP fans. It's great when the good guys win.
