Was Blanchard hurt? Didn't look like SEC caliber tailback at all.

I went to the game and was surprised at how Catholic was able to wear DS down. The ey test seemed to show that DS had more players dressed. Now they may let their freshmen dress and Catholic does not. Second, they are ranked 10th in the state and are a community school. That means that everyone in DS goes to the same high school. Their stands should have been packed. They were not and Catholic was overflowing. Third, the Blanchard kid is not SEC caliber. I can see why LSU did not bite. He could be a sleeper but I don't think so unless Catholic's defense is really good. Catholic has a tough row in their last three games as they take on the Ascension Parish trio to close the season.

No actually they don't even let all of their upper class men dress. They have a travel squad and a larger home squad.

Community school? Its a small city (barely over pop of a town) and is bordered by two other 5A schools. And im not arguing here, but i thought the exact opposite from where i was sitting. That catholic had a lot of open room on their side and ds had a lot of overflow.

Go back to 2010 to see what Blanchard did to catholic as a sophomore. Or that whole highlight vid for that matter. He had battled a lot of injuries and got hurt again last night (1 carry in second half) But in my opinion the problem is teams stack the box because they know DS won't throw with a 10th grade qb back there.

Something needs to he done to get him free for sure

The DS coaching staff has done a good job. The facility has received a major upgrade, larger fan base, and expectation of playoffs every year. They may have hit a wall and a change is needed to get to the next level. The freshman and jv team seems to be ignored and not in preparation to be future varsity players. The freshman team runs a completely different offense and routinely has players out of position. The qb in place is too small to stand in the pocket and not fast enough to be a running qb.
Blanchard left, Blanchard right won't cut it against better teams that scout future opponents. Catholic made presnap adjustments and appeared to know what was coming. Swing passes, tight-end slants, and fade routes aren't enough to make the opposing defense respect the pass.
They are respectable, but there is no reason they shouldn't be a powerhouse.

I agree with every single thing you just posted seriously. They have done such a great job with everything over there and it's been impressive

I've noticed that about the freshman team in recent years including this. I've only seen JV once this year and they looked good tbh

And the feeling you get sitting in the stands Watching that offense is akin to the feeling of watching LSU's offense from the stands in recent years.

Alot of folks are up there accurately predicting playcalling and moaning when it gets stale

It's frustrating considering how far they've come.
