We already did exactly what Deion is doing now. A magical year or two because the stars aligned and you had a few special players, down year in the portal and it will destroy you. If he stays at Colorado it will fall completely apart

I see you have the Deion and sons attitude. Act like a complete jackass nonstop and wonder why everyone "hates on" and "disrespects" you.

The biggest shame in this whole situation is Deion's personality flaws rubbing off on Travis Hunter who actually is an amazing talent. Hopefully once he gets away from him next year he'll be a normal professional athlete.

Your assuming he’s still the head coach next year, I don’t think that’s a given.

His run will be short - bet he’s looking for other options daily

You know you aren't allowed to criticize Deion. How dare you!

Sorry, but Deion is ahead of the time when it comes to recruiting in the current landscape. High school class rankings mean absolutely nothing when upwards of 50% of the class leaves after a year or two and after contributing almost nothing to the program

Look at LSU's 2022 class. More than 50% are gone.

Go look at the numbers the last couple of years across the country. He's not wrong. He only recruits freshman who can play immediately. The rest is portal. That's where the recruiting game has gone. The days of bringing in high ceiling players to develop over time are over.

Prime's recruiting philosophy

You don't think it's better to still recruit at a high level, and then also pick certain high level transfers to target? That's what teams like Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, etc... do.

They only had 3 first round picks in 21 years?

That's why I said Deion is ahead of the landscape right now. it's changing before your eyes. No, I don't think it makes any sense to bring in 25 high school kids when only 5-10 will play. You are simply developing and paying players that will contribute for other teams in the future.

Is it reasonable to expect Colorado to be able to do the same thing with none of the advantages those programs have?

My question wasn't necessarily about Colorado specifically, but rather the statement that Deion was ahead of the game, as in other teams should do what he's doing.

yeah we will find out what kind of coach he really is without his son and hunter.
without the players, Nick Saban himself wouldn't win. See Miami Dolphins when they sucked with Saban. Gis players were not good.

Prime’s coaching reminds me an old hack/glitch on NCAA I would use. Put your fastest overall players (usually a DB or WR) at QB and RB and run a certain play action pass or halfback pass that would automatically make the defense drop back into pass coverage and just keep it and run. 10+ yards a pop every time easy
what a bitch

convinced to go to a FCS/SWAC school

Simply because he told him he could play offense and defense. Not some great recruiting skill that he has.

With nil, they better get their checkbook out because kids aren’t just going to commit to colorado because they like Deion

Take 25 a year and process 15 of them to keep the ones that can play.

Team are not going to have much depth going forward.
