The duping angle really wouldn't be hard to believe if this didn't last 3 years. Lame people get tricked all the time on the internet. Hell I bet some idiot is getting tricked as I'm typing this, but 3 fricking years? No way you can get accepted into ND with that amount of brainpower.

It's because of my overwhelming knowledge of social media, my involvement with sites such as Facebook and Twitter, that I DON'T believe his story. He had been Skyping with his parents in Hawaii from South Bend. You're telling me that in the three years he supposedly had this online relationship with her, he never once tried to Skype with her?

Pete Thamel stating that he did look for proof of the gf and did not find her and that set off some red flags but not totally uncommon for 20-21 y/o kids to not to be in Nexus

I don't believe the whole "catfish" thing. No one would even call it that if that show/movie didn't recently come out on MTV and become a hit.
