PFT seems like a really good dude. He's better than Barstool but he's making really good money now I imagine.

There was an article recently, can't remember where, but it said they could be making up to $50k per episode in ad revenue.

I think their whole deal with Peter Thiel is fricked up and kinda scary, but Deadspin has zero room to claim moral superiority

I mean I guess but hogan could have paid for it himself as he was basically broke at that point. The legal fees were close to ten million.
Hogan had a pretty damn good reason to take them to court too.

Gawker had every chance to not go under and they didn’t take the case seriously. They made child porn jokes in the court. They got what was coming to them

I’m not defending deadspin, I’m saying it’s scary that an outside billionaire can bankroll a lawsuit just for vengeance.

And I bet Big Cat gets very little of that. I bet he still makes a very nice living, probably low six figures, but he needs to realize he has all the bargaining power, and Portnoy is an absolute clown of a CEO.

There’s no probably about it. They’ve mentioned before that Dan has stake in Barstool.

But Dave mentioned months ago that there are only a handful of people that could do just about anything and not get fired. Dan and PFT were in those obviously

Portnoy also isn't the CEO

Wouldn’t surprise me if he makes $100k. His podcast is a monster and he has a handful of other things he does for barstool also.

I'm thinking by now both Big Cat (especially) and PFT are making a lot more than low six figures.

They are bringing in a reported 7.8 mill in ad revenue for just PMT. And Cat has a stake in the company.

Apparently PFT is also now "executive producing" two other Pods for Barstool.

They are both making significantly more than that.

I meant PFT, sorry. Not Big Cat.

As for Portnoy, I guess he isn't technically the CEO now bc of the Chermin deal. We are getting into the minutiae of management though.

Cat definitely is because he has a lot going on at the company. Multiple shows, the biggest sports podcast in the world, etc etc and a stake in the company.

I imagine they are going to find multiple ways to pay PFT and for him to make money. They know he's just too talented for them to lose.

Where would he really go unless he created his own thing?
I can't see any big network actually pick him up.

Contrary to popular opinion on here, I think he loves his barstool gig and doesn't really look to leave. I do however agree he doesn't like pres.

Each episode pulls in 50k in ad revenue per the Washington post article. Both of them are rolling in it now

Ok yea, I thought you were saying 100k was too much. My first thought was they probably bring home 250-300
